We stayed as a family of 4 and booked the three bedroom cottage. We were met and greeted by our friendly host Thapelo who was very welcoming and helpful. We were very pleasantly surprised that the cottage was much larger than expected, and the facilities were all good. There is a very well equipped large modern kitchen, big lounge and dining room, and a second lounge at the entrance. The bedrooms are tastefully furnished and are very spacious and fitted with heaters and have electric blankets on the beds which was a real bonus in the middle of winter. There are two well fitted bathrooms, both a bath and hot showers. There is also a verandah with BBQ facilities which we didn't get to use as our stay was only two nights. Lots of good restaurants nearby within walking distance. Highly recommend, and will definitely book again!

We were in JHB during a heatwave. Aircon in the main bedroom was lovely and when we requested for an extra fan, we were assisted

The timer on the light was a bit short so I didn't have the time to deal with getting the keys into the lock before it was off again and not being from SA they took a bit of getting used to. Also I found the microwave was a little bit difficult to access because of the way the door works and the hight I needed to be a couple inches taller to make it easy.

I liked the cosiness and the comfort. I also liked the location on the property and the coffee and tea that was available.

The fact that for 3 of our 7 nights there we had to put up with hours of partying and screaming teenage girls of the “Dokkies” hockey team from some Afrikaans school in Meyersdal. Their couches and their wives were at times even more raucous than the girls. The property policy clearly stated no events or parties. Only when we couldn’t bear it anymore and complained to the manager who lives on the property did she speak to them but clearly they ignored her request as well and continued their partying until they either fell down or were exhausted very late on those evenings.

It had everything to make for a comfortable stay at a reasonable price and is very centrally located.

Lovely little self-catering cottage. It was clean, comfortable, secure and quiet. The bedrooms were small but the beds were comfortable and there was lots of cupboard space. With a lovely little lounge with a couch and two chairs, a dining room table with four chairs, and an outside enclosed area with table and chairs there was plenty of space. Basic kitchen equipment and a generous supply of tea and coffee. There was even an outside shared garden and area with chairs and games and puzzles. Check in and out were simple and staff were friendly and on hand if needed. We had a lovely stay there.

It would have been nice to have a safe.

The reception by Thapelo got us off to a great start. We really liked how the rooms were centred around a lavender garden. The interior itself was clean, light and well maintained with a very comfortable bed. Although we didn’t need it, the rooms had ample load shedding preparations which is not always a given. Would gladly be back!
