Location was perfect to relax for the weekend with family. Kids enjoyed the animals and to play outside. Close to nearby attractions.

would loved a bath for the kids but they enjoyed bathing in a crate :-)

    Cosy getaway, beautiful scenery

The gravel road was not very good traveling from Stanford. Not much to do.

Kirsten was a terrific host and really made my family feel at ease. Kirsten was very helpful and replies to messages promptly. My family had a peaceful break and fell in love with their farm dog.

It is spacious, with great outdoor seating and dining areas. The location is peaceful and it was lovely to see all the animals.

The kitchen could be better equipped with more bowls, dishes and utensils, especially braai tongs.

Lovely farm cottage with stunning views. Has everything you need and tons of character. There was also internet, if needed and our dogs were welcome. Thank you, Kirsten, for a great stay.

Beautiful setting on a flower farm with an awesome spot up near the dam. The children had such an adventure.

Kirsten's hospitality was super! She made us feel welcomed and went out of her way to make sure our pups were safe. The views are breathtaking, and the dam was awesome! Loved the touch of an airfryer.

Having a microwave would've made things a little bit easier.

The location was lovely, and the view was beautiful. It was spacious and had a nice outdoor courtyard. Kristen, the hostess, was friendly and helpful.

There were many photos of the property (ies) on Booking.com, however, these were not matched with the specific units. When we arrived the unit we stayed in didn't appear the photos we saw on the website. The microwave wasn't functioning and the gas cooker had a dangerous leak.

The welcome from Zara, Isaac and Nelson. The cottage was filled with cut proteas. How special. The crowing of the roosters every morning! The electric blanket was marvellous, so it was early to bed and a lie-in in the mornings.

The little log fire did not warm up the cottage and the hot water was barely lukewarm. The cottage needs a little TLC. The free WiFi never worked for us.

Very rustic farm cottage but with excellent facilities and a lovely peaceful environment. The proteas in every room and the rusks made us welcome. On up the road were proteas, leucodendrons, leucospermums, mimetes all growing on the side of the road. Just loved our stay. The only minor issue was the gravel road for my city car but since we traveled slowly we saw more flowers and features.

    Did not want to leave.

The hostess was very approachable and met all our needs and requests quickly. It is in beautiful, peaceful surroundings with gorgeous birdlife. The outdoor kitchen with braai facilities is a wonderful place to relax and spend the evenings.

The road to get to Laughing Waters has potholes and needs grading. The second bedroom needed bedside tables and lights.

It's a lovely farm, with beautiful views. Laughing under Oaks is right next to the farmhouse with an enclosed area that is perfect for people with little children or dogs. The house is thoughtfully decorated, and we had lovely protea bouquets to add to the atmosphere. We lit the fireplace by afternoon on the second day and found that it heated the big space well. We had great walks up the two steep hills adjacent to our accommodation. Great exercise and lovely views among the fynbos. The river was high when we were there, so maybe bring Wellies or shoes that can get wet in wintertime. The electric blankets made the bed extra cosy in the cold weather.

The gas water heater was faulty and out of gas when we stayed and only gave us three minutes of hot water per shower, before it would go cold and then refuse to get hot again for quite some time. The farmer replaced the gas for us, but then the water only came out tepid. We informed the owners, so hopefully they will sort that out before the next guests arrive. Maybe check this the moment you arrive. I would suggest that the owners add oven gloves for the kitchen and fireplace.
