This is an amazing property nested in the middle of vineyards, facing the sunset behind the Franschhoek mountains. The cottage is very well furnished and the people working on the property (Arend and Princess in particular) are so kind and attentive. Thanks for the amazing stay.

Hard to imagine that it can get better than this. Superb and very luxurious cottage with a full equipped kitchen/living room space, a separate bedroom, a bathroom with floor heating and a garden area with a small pool plus an amazing view of the mountains. We had an amazing breakfast served in the cottage. It's 3min by car to the main street and wine tram, or 20min by foot. There are also a few good vineyards worth visiting that are right next it (our favourite being Black Elephant Vintner), and the best restaurant of our whole trip was also next to it (Arkeste).

Such a lovely peaceful place to stay. Fabulous views. Good little pool. Amazingly well kept gardens. The cottage is right next to the big house but we felt totally private. Because of the elevation of the property there was a gentle breeze cooling the 30+ degrees feel comfortable. Charming interior… photos don’t do it justice. Manager was very helpful.

Lovely private location. Superbly decorated and furnished. Breakfast big enough for 10 people and the quality and presentation wonderful. Princess looked after us so well. Everything was perfect. Good value too

If the water pressure in the shower had been higher it would have helped. Otherwise nothing.

The location was superb, being about 15 minutes walk in to Franschhoek (but 20 minutes back up the hill). The cottage had great views, its own small pool and the breakfast was brilliant and varied each morning. Unfortunately the weather was not good enough for us to take breakfast on the terrace but the internal dining area was fine. Ian met us on arrival and was around to see us off at 6am on the day we left as we had an early flight home. Princess set up and cleared away our breakfast in our cottage each morning.

We loved everything about the cottage. Location and views were amazing. We were treated like royalty - the cottage is beautifully furnished and everything thought of. Delicious breakfasts, beautiful views and so peaceful. Bed was super comfortable with divine bedlinen.

Toiletries in the room were little hotel room bottles. Large refillable of a nicer quality would have been welcomed.

The cottage was a lovely space with beautiful views over the vineyard. Very cosy and inviting. The host, Ian, was so helpful and organized in room massages. Breakfast every day was spectacular but way more than we could eat. Ian said he wanted us to have options! The staff was very helpful and did laundry for us at no charge. Only a five minute drive into Franschoek, so perfect peace and perfect accessibility to shops and restaurants.

The wind was particularly heavy when we were there and it kept us up one night. But otherwise everything was perfect!!

The breakfast was amazing, fresh fruit, cheese, yogurt and eggs. The service was amazing and we had fantastic massages whilst staying there. Felt very safe and there was plenty of parking.

A stunning setting, close to Franschhoek, views amazing. Buffet breakfast was out of this world. Ian and the staff all so helpful and a pleasure to be with.

The l'Amitie Estate is truly heaven on earth. Rarely have we seen such a beautiful and well-maintained property. The interior is tasteful and simply stunning. Breakfast is prepared and served by Princess in their own kitchen. It couldn't have been more beautiful, and we would have loved to stay forever!
