Friendly Owner, tried his best, very kind, offered us Soup on the Friday evening.

The shower did not work. You either got scorching hot or freezing cold, we has to eventually use a bucket to wash, we complained and while owner tried to resolve it, it still didn't work. He told us maybe other guests were using the shower at the same time. It was not possible. The Toilet door was a sliding door that was broken. They fixed it the evening before we left. There was no kettle the 1st night. We had to ask the next morning. The bedding is old fashioned sheets and blankets.

The host is very accommodating and friendly. We were spoilt with homemade soup and bread. It's like home away from home. You can park your car and walk everywhere. The location is superb. We were doing the Knysna Forest half marathon and the host made arrangements for an early morning Uber. The evening we had lovely braai facilities and could watch the Springboks rugby match on screen.

    Everything is superb.

Very close to the Waterfront Parking on-site behind gate available

Unfortunately the accommodation was not what we expected at all - and we decided that we will rather lose our money than stay for the night. We booked a room, and upon arrival realised that this was a room in someone’s house - so not private at all. Thin walls and we heard the TV playing and our host coughing from inside the room. Then in the room we were surprised to find VERY dated linen, a shower curtain and no towels. Self catering is also an overstatement: - the bar fridge was full of rust and not even switched on - cutlery was sparse (not even a full set for two people) - kettle also not even plugged in and just placed on a random table in the room. Ongelukkig nie ‘n plek wat ek sal kan aanbeveel nie.

A little gem tucked away quietly in a great location within walking distance of the Waterfront. Kobos, the host, was helpful and most accommodating. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay; it was clean and well appointed. The terrace overlooking the delightful garden was the perfect place to relax. We felt very much at home here and could have stayed longer. It was a little oasis of calm and very good value.
