The fact that the 'guest gate' was not on automatic,to me that was unfair to us as we had to wait for the lady to come and open it manually. Very unfair for housekeeper to be opening and closing the gate. I feel like maintenance can do much better to maintain such a nice building.You see patches of paint on the walls, they do not paint from corner to corner.

The 3 housekeeping ladies made us feel at home,they were checking on us all the time. Even offered us the gate remote when i wanted to go to the mall

we just did not like the fact that the Tv was not a smart TV. besides that, our stay was very comfortable.

The place is well located, very close to places such as Oceans Mall, Umhlanga sands and it also located in a very safe place with police and security visibility everywhere. We enjoyed the view of the sea from the balcony and we also enjoyed the swimming pool at Blue waves.

In some areas the decor was a little tired and the wifi wasn't great. It's a nice area but a 20min drive out from Durban, so I spent a far bit on Ubers.

I stayed for Comrades Marathon as a solo traveller and felt quite safe. The staff made a fuss of me which was lovely. My room was big and had a gorgeous sea view which I really liked.

There was no handwashing liquid or soap. In the shower there is no rack to put toiletries, we had to put the soap, shampoo and shower gel on the floor. This would have been a problem if we were staying longer than one night. The room is so close to the door and kitchen so sleep was a bit distracted.

The staff was very friendly and the room was super clean.

The lady at reception during the day was very hostile. She still needs serious hospitality training. She's not welcoming at all, her facial expression and tone when she speaks is just cold. I believe she can be trained because she knows what to do, it's just that she's not a people's person. My thoughts were confirmed when I saw her interacting with other guests who came to check in.

We didn't have breakfast, we checked in too late to order breakfast. The guy working at reception at night was very welcoming, he knows exactly how to treat guests and also the lady at the kitchen and the handyman were quite pleasant.

There were no shower, no hairdryer, no bottled water. The one pillow was lovely but the other pillow was huge and as hard as a brick. It was noisy as you could hear all the car noise on highway. Parking very tight. I requested 2 three quater beds but got one king bed. Request was not honoured. The aircon was on 16 cool but did not work and from previous comments people reported the aircon not working and obviously not fixed since. Does not make cold at all. Sorry to say but this is definitely not a 4star.Nice furniture but the doors were dirty and room Nr 4 has a real old cheap table that needed lots of touch ups i would accepted all this if they did not say this is a 4star. We came from a 3star and everything was nice and painted. These rooms need a lot of touch ups on small things. The fridge was iced up where the ice cubes should go and has not been cleaned in a year. .

The staff were lovely especially the girl. Thank you Lelu for your understanding and great personality.... If it was not for you we would have find other accommodation.

The stuff too long to open the gate. I stood in the scorching heat buzzing with no one in sight or responding. There is hardly anyone at the reception desk. I was hoping that you at least serve breakfast or something light and drinks
