We liked everything and everything was well maintained, clean and well presented. No negative comments.

It is a fantastic cozy unit, very well equipped with everything you need, especially the kitchen. The host is very friendly and helpful and welcomed us with a home baked bread with butter and fig jam. There was ample tea, coffee and milk available and the owner even made firewood and fire starters available with on additional charges. The owner personally showed us around and was always available to check if we needed anything. The unit is very per friendly in a closed garden, so you do not have to worry about your fur baby. The bed was super comfortable.

Would suggest TV hotel package BUT not essential.

Warm freshly home baked bread and divine rusks on the house on arrival. Spices and sauces provided. Friendly host who goes out of his way to attend to your needs (if any). Wood and firelighters also provided. A big advantage is that it's pet friendly ♡

There was nothing we could complain about.

We were greeted with open arms by the host - Oom Daan. Nothing is too much to ask and they go above and beyond to make sure their guests have a comfortable stay. The place is spotless, which for us is important. Everything in the place is comfortable and you need nothing, everything is provided. Their attention to detail is superb! This is the place to stay...you will be treated to the best homemade bread that Oom Daan lovingly bakes for his guests.

The big beautifull bed, the deck and braai place,and a gaden for the dog children to run and play. The view on the deck is very beautifull. And Daan baked us a fresh bread and fig jam... Daan and Elize are the most beautifull people we have ever met!! We love the place and Daan and Elize and will recommed to eveybody!!

Keep in mind that the weather was terrible which make the following worse; 1. The driveway was only grass which make it quite difficult as it was slippery when it is raining 2. The driveway gate

. We rent it specific because it was pet friendly and there was enough space being fenced off where our dog could walk.

One can't find fault in this place.

The host welcomed us with a warm homemade bread and jam, such a friendly person. Explained everything in the flat and even to how things worked. Such a lovely neat and tidy place will definitely recommend this place and close to everything in Dana Bay. One can see the owner has a passion for his work and place. Well done. We were kept up to date every day wrt the Load shedding, weather etc.

To make it perfect : A small fence to separate cottage from front garden and gate would be helpful and more relaxing for guests with lively dogs and quite easily achieved as it is half fenced already. The design and materials used in the cottage are creative and quite quirky, thought out by obviously creative people. I would prefer a bathroom door though and the shower floor I found a little rough on the feet although bathroom otherwise comfortable and extremely clean.

Daan and Elize were helpful and attentive before and during our stay - very hospitable hosts. It can be stressful travelling with dogs and they made us feel that ours were welcome despite them running all over the place. The cottage is part of their homely property in the stunning suburb of Dana Bay. Everything one needs in a cottage has been thought of. There is some backup for load shedding (gas ring stove and some lighting). Very comfortable bed and the sound of the sea made for a great sleep. Tea, coffee, rusks, toiletries and other thoughtful touches were provided.

We were met warmly at the property, the host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome Daan was so helpful with tips and links to help us to organise our time, would have loved to have stayed longer! The space is so cleverly designed and real attention to detail! Also a very comfy bed!
