We were a bit surprised by the shared bathrooms, however, it had no negative impact on our stay.

We were truly grateful for being able to come back (per arrangement) after running a race to have a quick shower before our drive home.

Met expectations. Easy to access and close to the athletics track and swimming pool where we had to compete for Western Province in the Highgate interprovincial meeting. Also close to the city centre as we wanted.

The beds are comfortable and the unit had everything that we needed. The staff members are super friendly and overall a great place to stay at.

It was 44° on the day, it started to rain in the afternoon out of the blue so we decided to swim.

We had to unscrew the lightbulb in the lounge as it wouldn't switch off (one of these loadshedding bulbs). The toilet to the bathroom is awkward as it opens right into the kitchen, and you have to latch it to close it.

The garden was beautiful and perfect for young children. The pool was a highlight too.

The crockery is not good and the fridge is to small and the beds is not so comfortable as i like a bed to be.

The main road close to the guesthouse was noisy during the nights. The parking area is small and tricky if you have a bakkie. But even here, Ilze helped us to park without bumping into something. (You have to use rear maneuvering a lot, but if I could do it, anyone would be able to.) The double bed can do with a softer mattress.. You have to share bathrooms with other guests in the main house. With a small child, you have to plan your timing wisely.

Ilze is amazing. She went out of her way to accommodate us. We asked for an extra bed for the little one, and she made a plan. Beautiful old house. Safe electric fenced stay with cameras and security in place. Affordable stay with good quality service!

That towels were not exchanged daily.

The pool was a refresher to the heat of the Karoo. The pool definitely will attract more clients as Oudshoorn is a very hot holiday destination.

It would be possible for you to get also a small two plate stove as in the family flat because not all of us are doing well with Gas Stoves because we are not so acquainted with the usage there of. It would be of great help for those who wanted to do bake eggs or something small for Breakfast. I thank you for your hospitality. The Gilbert family.

Extremely hot in room with only a fan. Loadshedding a problem during the hot days.

Beautiful old character and charm of the house. Beds extremely comfortable, clean and neat. Secure parking. Friendly and helpful staff. The pool an absolute necessity and bliss in the heat was thoroughly enjoyed by the children. Children loved the outside area of the property.

Our door was not locking. I feel like we were supposed to be informed before hand.

We had a great time at Karoo Soul. The receptionist was very friendly. She made us to feel like we were at our home, even made my day super special by a surprise birthday message. The accommodation is neat and have everything you need. Pool is well maintained and the beds are comfortable. Not to mention that it is just next to the CBD.
