Beautiful accommodation that goes above and beyond. For example, the basket of tablecloth and glasses to take towards the shore to watch the sunset, not to mention the delicious fresh bread. We had a lovely welcome and Terese and Garth had a wealth of useful information about the area for us. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything needed. The sitting room extremely comfortable and the outside sitting areas were lovely to have.

Gorgeous views: Ocean on the one side and mountain on the other side! The cottage is beautiful and equipped with everything you would ever need and more. Garth and Therese are lovely people and added many fine touches to make our stay welcoming - we loved the homemade sourdough bread and cold bottle of wine on arrival. Besides the cottage itself, the area is really in close proximity of nice outings for eating/shopping/picnics/beach. Highly recommend!

Extremely spacious apartment with fantastic view and modern & clean facilities. Also the hosts were incredibly nice and even brought us a freshly basked sourdough bread as well as a bottle of wine. Overall, we highly recommend a stay!

Would be nice to have a path taking one down to the beach from the property. But as we were in the car each day, it didn't matter. .

From Ian and Joan, UK. Beautiful property on sea front. Hosts communicated from when booking was made. Every day suggestions were given of where to go and eat, with Google pin for ease to find. Hosts were exceptional. Services like washing and ironing were complimentary if you were there for a week. Very welcome when you are away for a length of time. Would definitely visit again.

We had an exceptional stay at Kalliste. From the moment we arrived, Garth & Therese greeted us warmly and gave us a tour of their wonderful home. They had even baked a homemade loaf of bread and gave us a bottle of wine to start our stay. Truly exceptional hosts throughout our visit. And what can we say about the location: an incredible view of the sea from the terrace and kitchen. A short 100-meter walk brings you to the rocks and the sea, with a perfect sitting area to admire the power of the waves. This is probably one of the most peaceful places we have ever had the chance to stay, and we will undoubtedly return. Thank you, Garth & Therese, for your unparalleled hospitality!

There was absolutely nothing .....

This was quite superb accommodation. There was everything in the cottage that you could wish for. The view was wonderful. Garth and Therese were wonderful hosts, and went out of their way to make the stay memorable. It really was a very beautiful cottage and furnished with great style and taste. I would recommend this to anyone that wants a really peaceful holiday.

The owners were very nice and hospitable. We were welcomed with delicious bread, wine and eggs as well as milk and butter. The accommodation is really beautifully furnished and the view is breathtaking. We will book the accommodation again if we are in Bettys Bay again - and then for longer than just one night.

The strict 10 a.m. checkout time, with no option to stay a bit more, introduced some stress into our otherwise peaceful stay.

If you are used to a dark room, take some sleeping masks.

All of the small details was awesome, freshly baked bread and a bottle of cold wine when we arrived, just to mention a few. Therese and Garth were amazing hosts, giving recommendations of visits for the area as well. Beds are comfortable and the kitchen is fully equipped.

Everything was perfect.

Beautifully appointed and very spacious accommodation.We loved the deck which has a stunning view of the sea. Perfect for drinking coffee and watching the waves. The sea is a short walk though a beautiful indigenous garden. For my birthday, I was spoilt with cupcakes and champagne. So many lovely things to make it feel like home - extra blankets, Nespresso machine, Netflix, milk and eggs in the fridge, two bathrooms!

We had to leave! There is nothing we did not like.

If you have stayed in a number of privately owned accommodation you are always a bit apprehensive when arriving at the property. Rest assured when booking at Kalliste all you expectations are going to be exceeded. Therese left fresh bread in the kitchen (and during the week). She bought us dinner on the first night because we would only arrive late, the list goes on. The location could not be better, with great views of the sea. The room and bathroom were lovely clean and very tastefully decorated. Everything one could need, is in the kitchen with coffee pods provided. The flat is private and there is a private entrance. If you plan to be in the Betty's bay area, you must stay here. If it is not available; change your dates!

it was very nice to come back to Kalliste, with Garth and Therese. the location is great, their house is beautiful, and they are incredibly good hosts. they deserve 5.5 out of 5
