An excellent breakfast was served on a private balcony with views of the sea and mountains. Hosts went out of their way to make you feel welcome, plus the extra mile when I needed some help. Room was fabulous.

Martin and Sue are fabulous hosts. The room was lovely with great views. Breakfast was excellent.

What a beautiful property with gorgeous gardens. Sue and Martin were relaxing hosts, providing a delicious breakfast and helpful guidance as to our itinerary. It was a special way to start our holiday in South Africa. Lots of room to unwind . Attentive hosts and our kitchenette , living room , bathroom and bedroom were cleaned every day.

We had a large, nicely furnished room that opened onto a terrace overlooking the garden. Breakfast was served on the terrace and was delicious with healthy options. The garden is stunning and we loved sitting outside in the evening. Martin and Sue were very knowledgeable about the local area and their tips enhanced our stay. They were particularly kind in helping us arrange a doctors appointment when one was needed.

We can’t think of anything we didn’t like!

We loved the Hout Bay Hideaway. We stayed in the ocean facing room which was perfect. Great breakfast and hosts. We would stay again as we liked the position near the town. Excellent!

We loved our stay here, Sue & Martin were so helpful and lovely, and made us feel so at home. Our room was very comfortable, with wonderful views and a big terrace with a fantastic view to the sea. A perfect morning yoga and breakfast spot. Gorgeous garden and pool area too… we thoroughly recommend Hout Hideway , thank you so much .

Location superb, away from busy areas yet close enough to walk. Sue and Martin saw to our every need and were the perfect hosts.

Some noise from neighbouring properties, but this is being picky.

Breakfast on veranda overlooking beautiful garden below with seaview and mountain in distance. Hosts were marvellous and did all they could to make stay enjoyable.

The accommodation is absolutely beautiful. Our hosts are delightful and very welcoming. Everything about our stay was really lovely and we would definitely be more than happy to stay there again. The breakfast is delicious. A hidden gem of luxury accommodation.

The property is in a stunning location surrounded by trees on a hill overlooking Hout Bay. Our room was very spacious and delightfully furnished, complete with a small integrated kitchen. Outside there is a huge balcony with dining furniture and loungers where you can sit and relax in a lovely, peaceful setting. Our hosts Sue and Martin were warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely stay there again

Sue and Martin are hospitable and warm-hearted people. They do their utmost to make your stay as pleasant as possible and make you feel at home. The property is nicely located in a wooded and safe area without through traffic. The house itself is tastfully decorated. Our room and the adjacent bathroom were very big. The room also included a built-in pantry (behind closable doors), with coffee and tea facilities, a small refrigerator and a micro wave. The extensive and tasty breakfast was served outside on the balcony. Parking possibilities in the garage or on the street in front (also very safe). Close to restaurants and shops in the center of Hout Bay and other locations such as Camps Bay, Chapman's peak and Capetown center and water front.

The TV did not work, which we did not find a problem. But the room facilities mentionned a TV. This was the only minus

The breakfast was well-presented and tasty. Very quiet area with a beautiful view of the mountain and garden.

Breakfast was set outside on the patio, on a rainy or chilly day it might pose a problem for guest comfort as there is no dining area other than the patio. We had cold water showers for two days running as the element in the geyser blew. It should have been fixed the same day as there are emergency providers in Houtbay - no excuse! The bed was not made every day, the linen was just pulled straight.

A gem of a place to stay - hidden away on a residential street, wonderful views, beautifully furnished. Sue and Martin are lovely hosts - kind, warm and full of good tips. We loved being in Hout Bay, it felt liked an oasis after a day in the city.

We loved the location & the room was spotlessly clean. Our hosts were warm & welcoming. We loved having a leisurely breakfast on the veranda each morning. We will be back to stay the next time we go to South Africa and will definitely stay longer to take advantage of staying in this special place.

Hout Bay Hideaway is an oasis of beauty and tranquility. Martin and Sue are exceptional hosts and we loved chatting with them. We will always remember the exceptional breakfasts served on our balcony looking out on Hout Bay. Thank you.

We really loved the location. Close to the village in a safe area and and fantasic room with porch and swimming pool in front.

Lovely hosts, wonderful home, great location. The pool, deck and the breakfast served on the deck were a dream. Spacious room with little kitchenette and super comfy bed. Safe parking inside garage. And last but not least, gorgeous artworks around the house! Thank you for the wonderful stay!
