Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

South AfricaI don't think the floor was swept before we arrived and there were old used plasters on the bathroom floor. The whole place could do with a coat of paint. Bit noisy early morning but the manager explained that the area becomes very hot during summer, thus all chores need to be completed as early as possible (quite understandable)
The bed was comfortable and linen clean. The manager was very friendly and helpful. The house is a beautiful old place (in need of TLC tho). We picked this venue as we love old building with character

South AfricaThe scatter pillow had blood on. Toilet spray bottle empty. I paid R50 extra for the room with TV and bathroom, but the netflix didn't work. No where is an indication wifi password. On arrival only house keeper to greet. Very impersonal. They should get new pillows for the beds. Those on bed is terrible.

NamibiaThere was no toiletries in the bathroom. The bedding was not properly done and there was no extra blankets for two beds. It was extremely noisy in the house till late at night and half past 5 in the morning the noise (very loud talking) started again.

South AfricaThe cottage and furniture were rather tired looking. The dividing curtain between the bedroom and bathroom hung on a few threads. One window was covered with a piece of cloth and the other window with a broken, dusty and ancient blind. The supplied teaspoon was still dirty from previous use. The unit can do with a coat of paint as there are water stains on the ceiling and walls.
