The shower needed a little attention - but not a big issue.

Nettie is a very good, friendly and caring hostess. I felt very comfortable in her house. When next in Hoopstad, I’ll book there again. In addition, the breakfast was excellent and the garden facilities very cosy and well planned. I highly recommend Nettie’s place.

A more modern take on this little guest house would've been nice, but it was a nice, cosy farmhouse vibe that we enjoyed. There is not actually much we can fault and we really enjoyed our little weekend stay!

Breakfast was amazing, with amazing options to choose from and machine coffee. We were happy that good coffee was offered - we a little bit snobbish when it comes to coffee haha. We also enjoyed the option of Netflix in our room as we were staying for a wedding and took Saturday morning easy in our room. Nettie - the owner of the guest house was amazing, hospitable and ensured that all our needs were taken care of. There was an aircon to keep our room warm during the cold Free State evenings. And even though we didn't make use of all the facilities, they are extensive. The rusks in the room were a nice touch.

We loved the thoughtful touches, welcome chocolates, phone chargers on both sides of the bed, the local restaurant menu. The breakfast wors brought in from Parys was devious and fresh braaied for our breakfast. Nettie thinks of everything and makes sure you have what you need

Our stay at this guesthouse was absolutely delightful! From the warm welcome at check-in to the cozy and immaculately clean room, every detail was perfect. The host went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, offering stand-by electricity during loashedding and serving a delicious breakfast each morning. We can't wait to return and highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting the area!

Delightful outside lapa area. Very welcoming reception. Walked (14 mins) to Bru Market for dinner - early booking recommended (18.00-19.00) very good food.

Excellent location. Safe, parking behind gate on premises. Lovely breakfast. The jacuzy looked really nice, clean and welcoming - the only problem was we did not have costumes! In the heat sleeping with aircon was a welcoming treat.

Prior to coming , it would have been nice to get the best direction to this lovely establishment. The road that we traveled was full of potholes. I wish someone could give us a heads-up to an alternative route.

The rooms in the backyard after a long very small walk along the house. Not equal stones so watching not to fall. The dogs.

Entrance to room was down a bit of a long back entrance which if we had big bags would have been a bit awkward

A perfect stopover enroute somewhere, nice and secure so we didn't have to empty the car, water, coffee and tea provided. Well laid out with everything you needed, beautiful fluffy white towels and crisp linen. The town had a charming restaurant to enjoy a meal at after a long trip.
