The property next to Hennie's rest is being developed and it was noisy during the day. But I know it is temporary and will soon be nice and peaceful to sit on the deck and look out over the river.

The locations were fabulous. We saw different animals in the river. Elephants came right up to the deck.

The location is amazing: beautiful view on the river and the animals are coming really close. The place is peaceful, it is really nice to enjoy the pool. The host is really nice and helpful.

Wild animals just walk by the house. Seen elephants, hippo's, buffalo and many more animals. Big place, nice rooms with great showers and bath. Hostess is a very nice lady!

We really enjoyed staying here. The elephants came right up to the deck. At night, we heard lions nearby. It’s a magical place. The view from the deck is the Kruger National Park, and it’s exciting looking out the window in the morning knowing you could see anything. There’s crocodiles, hippos, waterbuck, elephants, impala always nearby.

The location is incredible ,its right on the river front just opposite the Kruger Park. The amount of game you are able to see just sitting on the deck or veranda is amazing. Staying at Hennies Rest was an experience. Cornelia was an amazing host.

I was lucky to find that place ! Need more days to stay and enjoy , but we were in rush . Fantastic location , view and interior ! Dreams comes true! Wild life just outside the terrace . You can hear night life of Kruger park ! We had problem with the car , but got support on place , and much appreciated on that !!!! Cornelia and her family is the Best !!!

We had such an amazing time at Hennie’s Rest, we flew into Kruger Mpumalanga Airport and it was an easy drive to get to Malelane and Hennie’s rest from there! We arrived to a warm welcome from Cornelia who gave us advice on the best game drives in Kruger park and where to pick up a good pair of binoculars so we had the best experience! We went on a sunset drive the day we arrived thanks to Cornelia’s knowledge of the Malelane gate which is a very convenient 10 minute drive away. When we weren’t heading into the park we had an amazing time looking out over the crocodile river and spotting a large variety of wildlife from elephants, crocodiles and kudu to king fishers, geckos and guinea fowl. Throughout the day we were entertained by the animals, even when braaing in the dark we had some hippos join us. Cornelia is an excellent host with excellent knowledge of the local area and the ins and outs of visiting South Africa as a tourist. We would have been in quite a pickle if we hadn’t read Cornelia’s info on car rentals and ensuring we had a document saying we could take it into Eswatini - thankfully we were able to go to the local branch and get that sorted before arriving at the border! I was especially thankful for the homey addition of hot water bottles for the slightly chillier evenings. Thanks for looking after us so well and sharing your amazing spot in the world- we have already let our friends know about your beautiful spot and would recommend it to anyone!

We find a double bed a little too small, however it was comfortable. I do hope some of the rooms have queen beds.

The accommodation was excellent and of course the view of the Crocodile river was superb. We will definitely stay there in the future.

What an awesome place! The view over the river is breathtaking! We loved the pool and the decor, such a beautiful aesthetic! The unit was beautifully equipped and there was lots of attention to detail.

MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT I KEPT BASHING MY HEAD ON THE WOODEN BEAM ON THE PATIO. BUT THATS MY PROBLEM FOR BEING A TALL PERSON :-)
