Tea and coffee making facilities in the bedrooms would be very appreciated. The rope banister going up the steep staircase is not adequate for older guests. A more solid banister would be an advantage.

The location is perfect and we had a very pleasant stay. The staff are exceptional and go out of their way to make sure guests are comfortable and have everything they need. Breakfast is very good with multiple choices on offer.

Gonana is a top notch Guesthouse right on the beach at Paternoster. You walk 50 meters and you are on the beach. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was phenomenal and lots of options. There is a honesty bar and the place is very safe.

One small note - we preferred traditional thick towels over the Barrydale Weavers towels. While they might suffice in summer, we found thicker, softer towels were a better fit for winter comfort.

We were blown away by the stunning location and beautifully decorated interior. The amazing breakfast was the perfect cherry on top. Our stay was truly unforgettable - highly recommend!

You couldn't ask for a more beaufiful location, our room was downstairs and opened up directly onto the pristine beach. Staff were excellent and the breakfast was very good. Good quality products with ample items to choose from.

The only minus is , as I was booked in the room downstairs the footsteps in the upper living room can be a bit of annoyance however that is the infrastructure. It wasn’t that bad as all guests were quite respectful.

I would have preferred more storage space in the room I was in (ocean facing). Perhaps where the little bench is below the clothing rack and where the safe sits, one could put a larger enclosed cupboard for storage. Also a bigger safe that can store a laptop would be useful. Finally, the shower pressure and the water temperature was a bit offish. I would have loved higher shower pressure and consistent water temperature in the shower.

Breakfast was excellent with a wide array of warm and cold foods to choose from. The breads and muffins are freshly baked on a daily basis and the ladies who serve and prepare the breakfast were incredibly warm, attentive and friendly.

Lounge inaccessible with our restricted mobility, upstairs and only a rope to hold on and no support to get in and out of the pool. Perhaps Gonanna could consider being more disability friendly.

Location, STAFF became like family, especially Melody! She is a true asset for this guesthouse! We could not access the lounge as it was upstairs and we have very poor mobility. Food and drink was delivered to our room, not the ideal, but staff really tried to accommodate us. Truly a wonderful, unforgettable few days, Paternoster will always have a place in our hearts!

Everything was fabulous. The only thing I'd add is some lounge chilled music in the common living room ..nothing hectic just a little something to enhance the ambiance. ..not a necessity but maybe at sunset and breakfast ? A little something on the background.

The location right on the quiet beach is incredible, the staff is super friendly and professional and makes you feel very welcome as soon as you arrive. The rooms and the rest of the property is beautifully furnished, making for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The breakfast served in the mornings in the communal space upstairs is just great.

We had a bedroom under the kitchen which was part of the upstairs sitting and dining room. As the floors were wooden we could hear the staff moving around preparing breakfast.

We had a very good breakfast with a fantastic view. We could walk straight out of our bedroom onto the beach. Nice modern vibe.
