Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IsraelSaying goodbye to Rafah 🥲
Jane is so friendly & generous and her place is magical, in the forest with the most adorable dog called Rafah! Highly recommend this place. Close to everything in the area and the glasshouse itself is so beautiful and stocked with everything you need.

Wonderful location. Beautifully decorated house. Very relaxing garden and pool. Super cute friendly dog who we were allowed to play with. Very generous with edible goodies, blankets, towels, lovely linen. We stayed there with our two children and found the house was perfect for us. We received a friendly reception. I would highly recommend.

Wow...how about everything! As soon as we arrived, we wished we were staying for longer. The glasshouse is stunning, charming, cute and wonderfully located in the Stellenbosch valley. Jane's communication was exceptional from the start, she was so accommodating and helpful. The glasshouse has everything you might need, and more. Jane was also very sweet and provided lovely goodies and a bottle bottle of wine, which we enjoyed whilst we had our braii. The best night stay of our entire honeymoon.

South AfricaAll was actually fine and in order, however small things to pay attention to, would be the towel freshness and a check on the bathroom fittings.
We really enjoyed the location, and the experience of having all the beautiful surroundings visible from every position in the Glasshouse. The communication and extra ordinary support from check in to check out was excellent too.

IsraelThe tap in the bathroom. That’s it
This place is very unique and we liked it so much. It’s in a little jungle of its own, with beef warm and welcoming staff, nice walks and being immersed in nature and vineyards. A great escape to nature at a very reasonable price. It’s for for one couple. Serene. Plus we had our own kitchen and lots of choices for making our own breakfast. Amazing! And we had some good talks with that interesting owner-manager.

United KingdomRain Spiders but Clement took care of them!
Great location, the Glasshouse is in a quiet area surrounded by nature but still close by the various Wine Estates in Stellenbosch. There is plenty of outdoor lounging space including a pool, access to a garden in the back and private field outside opposite the property. Great property to stay for a longer stay and larger groups. The house is spacious for two persons to stay and can host many more if the rest of your group are staying nearby. Property was very clean and the interior has a late 90's early 2000's decor but has been well maintained. The owner Jane and housekeeper Clement were very accommodating and gave helpful recommendations for things to do in the area. There is a friendly golden retriever named Rafa who guards the property for those who love dogs. It was a pleasure to meet them all as part of my stay.

GermanyThere are no words for this place besides PARADISE. This house is a hidden gem, with birds singing and feeling like living in a Rain forest. Jane is a caring and wonderful host. She offered so much food and even a great wine, so we had a great Breakfast from That and an evening snack. The kitchen has all Tools, so it was easy to cook a meal and enjoy the peaceful retreat instead of visiting crowded Restaurant. Too sad we booked only one night. We would have loved to stay and relax in this little paradise.

FranceThe glasshouse is a little gem! Super peaceful, in the middle of the forest. The location is also ideal to visit the famous vineyards in the area. Jane had prepared some cheeses, crackers and wine for us, as well as fruits, cereals and coffee for breakfast. We will definitely come back!!!
