We had a fantastic stay! We loved everything about this place! Kevin and Colleen are wonderful hosts - super friendly and welcoming. And a special mention to Romeo, their adorable little furry friend who visited us every morning to say hello 😊. We felt right at home.

Our stay was just an overnight, but it was perfect. Kevin has a wealth of knowledge on the area and had some lovely recommendations for our road trip and they all worked out so well. A beautiful spot, everything was beautifully presented, such a lovely, neat property. Delicious rusks and an array of homemade preserves and edibles to purchase.

Warm welcome from the hosts on a cold afternoon. Enjoyed the little touches of rusks, fresh milk in fridge, electric blankets & firefighters provided. Hosts very helpful - following up timeously on our departure as we had left chargers plugged in. Thank you Kevin & Colleen for a very comfortable stay.

Perfect accommodation in Calitzdorp! The apartment was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. We liked the undercover braai area with its tranquil outlook on the lucerne fields. The location was ideal, close to town, the winery and restaurants. What a fabulous welcome from the hosts! We would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Calitzdorp.

There are a lot of instructions of what you can’t do. Nearby restaurants closed on Monday evenings.

A good value cottage for one night’s stay. It might be a little small if you wanted to stay longer. It was well equipped with everything you need. There are two cottages - if you want a lovely view, choose Lucerne. The owners were on site and very helpful. When we booked we then discovered that the restaurants in Calitzdorp are mostly closed on a Monday night which meant catering for ourselves.

This place ticked all the boxes, it was sparkling clean, had all the amenities we wanted, the hosts were friendly but discreet. The location was beautiful and tranquil and very near town, but still quiet enough to enjoy the Karoo setting. Easily accessible on the main route. As a bonus there was beautiful home-made bottled eats that we could purchase, which we did, so we did not even have to go into town to eat. We will be back at Gasteria Grange, this is an amazing find. I can recommend this gem of a place to anyone. We did not lack for anything and did not want to leave. Next time we will stay for longer. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Everything was well thought out, well presented, and everything worked! Kevin and Colleen were very helpful, friendly and engaged. The location and setting as advertised initially attracted me, and the reality did not disappoint.

There is nothing to dislike

Gasteria Grange cottage is centrally located, so that Calitzdorp center and also the wineries are in easy walking distance. The lovely owner are living on the same ground and are a good source for ideas how to spend the day. The self-catering cottage has one huge room and an en-suite bath room with a nice huge shower. It is fully equipped, the beds are comfy and there is also a safe parking available. A big plus is the airy, roofed terrace, which can comfortably be used even on hot Karoo days. We can highly recommend staying there!!

The hosts were very welcoming and provided homemade rusks and milk for us. The view from the accommodation is just beautiful and so serene. Lovely to sit on the patio with your morning coffee looking out. The beds were extremely comfortable. Walking distance from the village and 2 wine tasting rooms, although you may choose not to walk it at night.

Very clean and well equipped chalet with a beautiful location and super friendly hosts. They take good care of us throughout our stay.. Comfy with everything we needed, even an electric blanket that came in very handy. The place is within walking distance from most restaurants in town.

Colleen & Kevin were very friendly and welcoming. Set in a farm like area, we went for a run and felt quite safe. Calitzdorp is delightful. If in the area again, we will definitely sleep there again.
