I did not like the lack of Big 5 and not being allowed to cook inside the villa despite the availability of the kitchen

Off the beaten path but easy to find. Tents super comfy. Staff warm and welcoming including the owners. One night here is not enough. We did a VIP evening game drive with Sevi that was just magnificent. Food was delicious. The dreams for the future of this private game reserve are exciting and I know we’ll be back.

Only one thing: I’m a wine lover: would love to see the cellar choice include some more upscale wines!

Beautiful scenery, amazing hosts and great rangers. We felt extremely welcome and taken care off. Sustainable concept and you feel the appreciation of nature and all animals. Only the restaurant and house keeping could be improved. We came there for the nature and game and in this regard it was perfect! Thank you very much for the experience!!!

Our 3 night stay at the Garden Route Safari was life affirming. From start to finish we had the most wonderful experience and we shall definitely be going back. Nanete, Abrim and all the staff made us feel so welcome it was like being part of the family. Our personal guide Sivi was so full of enthusiasm and knowledge about the animals, and kept us entertained for 3 hours on the jeep safari....our pocket guide to safari! 😄 The food was exceptional. The accommodation and attention to detail was beautiful. We did the horse riding safari and it was an amazing experience...standing just a couple of feet away from a giraffe on my trusty horse 'Handsome' is a life experience I shall never forget. Josh and Eon, our riding guides kept us safe and offered thrilling gallops or steady walks throughout the experience. You will not be dissapointed choosing this lodge for your safari experience. It has an intimate family feel yet so professionally managed. You feel in very safe, knowledgeable hands. Just book it !!

Food can have a large room of improvement !

From start to finish a fantastic experience - the camp is focused on conservation and reuniting the animals with their home - which we felt throughout the safaris we did. Our guide, Seve, was so knowledgeable and friendly, making great conversation throughout. The food was fantastic, the staff were all very good and the pool was nice after a morning safari!

Everything! Highly personalised to each guest, ammmmazing 10/10 food and super hospitable hosts and staff!

The breakfast was great. Cereals/yoghurt, eggs/toast, fruit juices, fruit platter. Plentiful. Lodge was stunning, spacious, had the most cosiest and warm dressing gown, slippers, bedtime turn down service.

A truly magical place create by Annette and Abram. The staff are amazing from the moment you arrive you are made to feel like family. The luxury “tent” that we stayed in was perfect and the food was delicious. We did the 4pm safari and saw giraffes, rhinos , lions , hippos. Sevie our guide was so knowledgable and had such a wonderful was of communicating making the safari such fun. We loved every minute of our stay and only wished we had booked 2 nights not 1 !

It is a lovely place to be in the nature. The place is paying attention to many small details why one is feeling very welcome. The stuff was absolutely amazing!

We had some misunderstandings with the bookings, but in the end it was sorted out perfectly.

Beautiful property, very intimate vibe. Staff and guides are amazing and kind. Breakfast and Dinner menu are very thoughtful as is the service.

Clean, very friendly welcome and throughout our stay. Great game drives and wonderful breakfast and excellent dinners in a quiet and beautiful setting.

You should be aware that the road in is about 4-6 km of dirt track which for lower vehicles might not be easy to tackle, especially after it has rained.

It was a fantastic experience, all the staff were so welcoming and passionate about the animals and what they are doing. The food was excellent, nothing was too much trouble, highly recommend.

We couldn’t fault anything.

My partner and I stayed at the safari camp for 2 nights in February. We had a wonderful time from start to finish. The welcome was warm and friendly and our accommodation was large and superb. It was a little way from the main building but we were always offered transport to and fro. We did a sunrise and sundowner safari and both were excellent. Our guide Elon was brilliant, informative and very passionate about his job and all the animals. Our highlight was hearing the lions roaring. Amazing!!

We stayed in the superb tented lodges that are beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable. The team have thought of everything. Abram and everyone at the lodge were super friendly and catered to our every need. The dinner and breakfast were delicious and beautifully presented. Finally, the game drive. Eon our guide was simply fantastic. The depth of knowledge he displays for his years is incredible. Every part of the drive was fascinating but the rhino and lion encounters we experienced will stay with us forever. Our second visit to the camp but this exceeded the high bar set previously and frankly far exceeded our expectations. I cannot recommend it high enough.
