Just need an aircon in the room, but we were given 2 fans which helped with the high temps

Peaceful, serene environment ideal for relaxation. Stunning pool, gorgeous restaurant and amazing food. Chris the manager went above and beyond to meet our requests and his cooking skills are superb with dinner tasting awesome. Game drive was included and was amazing to see the animals who were so curious. Loved every bit of this trip.

While the room provides all the essentials, infusing it with more vibrant colors and a touch of warmth in the interior would elevate the experience. Occasionally, it felt a bit clinical, and a cozier ambiance would add a delightful touch to the space.

The Game Lodge owes much of its excellence to Chris, an exceptional host and manager. His dedication to ensuring your stay is as comfortable as possible truly sets the tone. The Game Drive left a lasting impression, and the three-course dinner was exceptionally delicious. Grateful for the experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

The last bit of road leading to the lodge is abit bumpy and requires careful driving, especially with a low clearance car after dark.

The lodge is located on a hill, in the middle of nature, a few kilometers on a dirt road, outside of Jeffreys Bay. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by Chris, who runs the place, who showed us to our room and gave us his direct Whatsapp contact for any issues we may encounter. The room was clean, very large, with comfortable beds and a nice porch in the back. Breakfast was wonderful, with eggs made to order, yogurt, juice, coffee and everything else one would expect from a good breakfast. The lodge does offer a game drive and some hiking trails, but unfortunately we didn't have time to do those, so I can't comment on them. The best part of our stay at Fijnbosch actually happened after we left. It turned out I forgot my (expensive) prescription sunglasses in the room. I reached out to Chris, who located them, went in to town, on a Saturday morning, and sent them over to our hotel in Cape Town. To top it all, he refused to bill me for the shipping cost. That is one hell of a service. Kudos and thank you Chris!

Just a suggestion to put a blanket or two to the room (but maybe I didn't see it).

I would stay there for the dinner alone. I unfortunately didn't do breakfast but will believe that breakfast is also amazing. Very nice trial for a short walk.

If I had to pick something, the shower was a little difficult. But really everything was great.

The premises were very nice and so was the room. Peacocks and springboks roam the grounds. Lovely host. It felt really luxurious.

There was nothing we did not like.

Breakfast was excellent. It more than met our expectations, and more than enough to fill us. The facilities were excellent and very clean. The Game drive was fun with Chris who had a large amount of knowledge about the area as well as all the animals on the land. Chris made us feel right at home. He was very friendly and at our beck and call all the time.
