We brought some things along that when we arrived were there, so maybe a slightly more thorough list of things that we can avoid packing. E.g. - 5lt bottled water, black bags. As coffee lovers, we noticed the coffee plunger and moka pot are abit old and in need of replacing - but still work.

The cottage was outfitted with alot of amenities that we didn't need to bring along. The location is peaceful, quiet and gorgeous! It really invites you to exhale. All the small personalised touches really made our stay more personal and inviting. The welcome champagne and cheese platter, signboard and snack pack for our baby was so thoughtful! The different spaces created within the property allows you relax in a different spot everyday! Also all the added extras for baby were welcomed! :)

Absolutely breathtaking! Our stay at Exhale Cottage was nothing short of paradise. The accommodation was stunning, with every detail taken care of by the incredible hosts.. The peace and remoteness were exactly what we needed to unwind and recharge with the perfect set and setting 🍄 Highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone seeking a tranquil retreat. Do yourself a favor and book now!! We really loved every second of our time at Exhale. Whether you're in the mood for star gazing, bird watching, walking, feeling romantic or just want to relax in front of a cozy fire, the hosts have kitted this lovely farm cottage with everything you could need. Thank you Colette and Chris for your hospitality. We so appreciated the little stickers everywhere so we knew exactly what everything was for, all the thought you've put into everything (including the walking route that was marked off so nicely), ample wood for the hot tub and braai, and the fresh chillies!!! What a lovely surprise. We will definitely be back again

There is not a thing we could fault!

Absolutely everything - if I could rate this cottage 12 out of 10, I would. The location and facilities are exceptional but what really makes it special is the care that Colette and Chris put into the property and the overall guest experience. From cheese & MCC to a beautiful (and very unexpected) birthday cake. Communication was excellent and they even offered a mid-stay cottage clean. The whole experience was exceptional.

Exhale Cottage is an indescribable place, pictures and words can not capture this house and its surroundings. Chris and Colette are such warmhearted persons, so welcoming. The house has more than everything one can expect, and even so much more. The decorations and the finishings are top. Safe place. Eye for detail! Wish we could just live here!

The setting in between the mountains were perfect. The cottage is surrounded by the hills, the local fynbos and Karoo plant-life any many working fruit farms. The owners went out of their way to bring nature into the mix of the stay. The cottage is well equipped and spacious, and we were spoilt with a cheese platter and bubbly. We will be seeing you again. There was nothing that we didn't like.

The stay at Exhale was beyond expectation. There were so many little 'touches' that made the stay very special - from the umbrella hanging on the front door (as there had been a slight chance of rain), to the delicious cheeseboard, wine, fruit, welcome messages, etc. that were left for us, all so personalised. These hosts have 'got it'!

This cottage is a little piece of paradise on a farm just outside Montagu. Every single detail has been thought through to make for the most relaxing, restful and enjoyable stay.
