Duiker's Den overlooks the Da Gama Dam. It is peaceful and quiet. Our hosts, Lorna and Leon were most welcoming and even took us on a boat ride on the dam. There is pleasant walking along the dam and up onto the granite outcrops. Lots of birds. Very comfortable accommodation with everything that is needed.

What a beautiful and peaceful stay!! Dam and garden in the front, back surrounded with lots of Barrie’s trees. Host Lorna and Leon are also very welcoming and always ready to help for anything. They took us on boat ride in the dam and even offered longer stay on day of check out as no other guest was coming. Lots of birds in the morning. Dam water is clean and we went for swimming there. Canoes are also there at property. Everything is so neatly managed in property and available. Ample towels, bedsheets, extra blankets were also there. Quality of all things were top notch. We will definitely visit again.

We had an incredible stay at Duiker's Den! Leon and Lorna were lovely and caring hosts who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The location was perfect for a weekend getaway, offering breathtaking views of the mountains, a serene dam, and even some wildlife sightings. The guest house is centrally located, making it easy to explore a variety of nearby tourist attractions. It’s just about 40 minutes from the airport, close to Numbi Gate for Kruger National Park, and only an hour from Graskop, making it a fantastic base for exploring the area. On top of all that, Duiker's Den offers great value for money. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with convenient access to some of the region's best attractions

I loved everything! No lie

I loved everything about the place. The accommodation is clean and neat. Oh my God the bed is so comfortable. The kitchen is nice. The view is breath taking. I'm definitely going to visit again. It's a nice place to distress and just relax while connecting and bonding with your loved ones.

The driveway is a bit difficult. but in all fairness, it was raining a lot and it made the drive way difficult to manage with the Nissan Navara double Cab

An excellent and clean two bedroom flat in a quite place next to the dam. Beautiful kitchen and spacious lounge and dining room overlooking the garden, dam and mountainous background. Excellent Wi-Fi connectivity. Solar power backed up electricity. And the host is so kind and hospitable.

The quite relaxing atmosphere, the location is a paradise on the lake. The host were splendid they did all efforts to make our stay comfortable. We even had a Barge ride on the lake which the kids enjoyed and the beautiful scenery around. I would suggest visitors to purchase all the food you require for your stay before arrival because once you are at the site you don`t want to move but enjoy your stay. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering and for the Brie the host even supplies the coal required.
