The only thing we didn’t like about our stay was the nuisance of the monkeys, particularly at the main pool area. The area near the restaurant and around the decking smells unpleasantly of monkey urine.

We liked the location looking out onto the bush rather than the communal braai and pool area. The unit was spacious and clean and refurbished. It was much more comfortable than the unit we were in last year that was old and in need of refurbishment.

The Heated pool was filthy. The water was not clean, and I saw a piece of toilet paper floating.

Getting there is a nightmare. Coming from Sun City side the roads are either gravel or riddled with potholes.

The walls were paper thin. It felt like our neighbours were in our chalet at times. We could hear their conversations and what they were watching on TV. For the school holiday season, the restaurant was really understaffed. We waited a long time for service most times we went there. The staff that were there were pleasant though, and coped well, despite being run off their feet.

The facilities in the resort were lovely, and so was our chalet. It was very well kitted out and we enjoyed staying there. There is so much to do, and the activities on the verandah every day were a lot of fun!

However, there were a couple of things that could be improved. On our second day, the housekeeping service didn’t empty the bin, which was already full, especially since we had quite a few dirty diapers. Also, some of the towels seemed to be recycled rather than replaced with fresh ones. On our last day, we visited the deck and ordered drinks, but unfortunately, the service was very slow. We ended up leaving without being served, even though we noticed other guests receiving their orders.

I really enjoyed my stay at Dikhololo. There was always something to do, with plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. The property itself is very well maintained, and the surroundings are clean and peaceful. Our accommodation was beautiful, and fully equipped with everything we needed. A great getaway for relaxation and fun!

1. Walls between chalets were very thin and you could hear your neighbours actually talking to each other... a bit annoying especially where they listened to music and we wanted to listen to the veld & small game 2. Restaurant was a serious let down including the lack of people skills and working-with- customer-knowledge from the restaurant manager.

The road to the place is unbearable. Got stuck and its not for the first time. Dikhololo needs to take its clients serious by making sure that the gravel road is taken care of.

The place was excellent and serine, enjoyed the pool and sightseeing was perfect. The staff at reception they were exceptional.

The dirt road is a bit long but manageable. I can imagine that it would be a nightmare in the rain. The lodge doesnt have an option of double/ king bed in the 2nd bedroom in the three bedroom chalet.

I was impressed with Dikhololo. A beautiful lodge and bush getaway. The chalets are clean and had all that we needed. The three bedroom chalet is a must!

The soundproofing of the chalets is very poor. We could hear everything. Babies crying, kids shouting, adults snoring and laughing, even talking. It was not very pleasant.
