I like quality modern bathroom sanware but the taps were dated without mixers which I suppose is historically appropriate for the property. Not a dealbreaker but just a personal choice.

The personalized welcome by Ilzebet and the continued interaction was excellent. Parking was over the road and convenient. Bed was comfortable and the room was very pleasant. Breakfast was very good. We shall stay again next time.

Well located, convenient for the town, bars and restaurants. Amazing big rooms/ bathrooms. Very friendly staff and welcoming owner/ manager. Sherry , free sweets and biscuits in the room. TV in the room was a bit small but there were large TVs in the many communal lounges. Expected a continental breakfast but was surprised to be offered a cooked breakfast. Shame we had to dash back to Cape town for a flight. Would have loved to linger and enjoy it more. Would book there again if we returned.

Very bright outside passage or bacony lights that was switched on during the night allowed unwanted light into the room. Room would benefit from curtains in addition to the wooden blinds.

Soundproofing in the room was poor. The room was very light at night due to there being no curtains on the hallway windows, only blinds which does not fully block out the light. Staff started vacuuming in the room next door at 8am on a Saturday morning, which was a bit unnecessary, however, this is probably amplified due to the poor soundproofing.

Lovely residence in an excellent location. The facility is well kept with nice amenities and the staff is very friendly. Spacious rooms which are nicely decorated. Breakfast was well presented and very good.

We had a warm and friendly welcome, and every interaction with the staff was a pleasure. The entire establishment is spotless, with timeless décor and furniture that not only complements the building’s character but is also highly functional. The location is excellent—within easy walking distance of numerous great restaurants, as well as the Endler Hall. We’ll definitely be back!

My partner and I loved every second of our stay at De Hoek Manor. Ilzebet was incredibly helpful, friendly and professional. We loved breakfast and the breakfast room. The staff were also very attentive. Our room was stunning with views of Church street and the church. The location is as central as it gets with a choice of restaurants a few steps away. There is also secure off road parking. The room and bathroom were very spacious and clean and the bed was big and comfy. There was air-conditioning, decent cupboard space and a mirror/hairdryer for me to do my make up and hair. There were complimentary chocolates, rusks, tea and coffee pods and a Nespresso machine which made my day. It was really an exceptional stay and I can see a lot of effort and thought goes into the presentation and management of the space! I would definitely return! :)

The Guesthouse is located right accross the road from the Historical Dutch Reformed Church founded in 1687, a spectacular view of the Church from the lounges dining room and some bedroom windows and it is walking distance to many other historical sites and world class Restaurants.A safe but vibrant location. Beautifully decorated very spacious many lounges balconies and garden courtyards to enjoy.!The Manager a very gracious lady went beyond what I expected to really make us feel superbly welcome and comfortable.Very professional.! We had a lovely, large room with a huge bed. There was a fridge with still and sparkling water and also a small milk. The water used was replaced daily. Breakfast was amazing. It was presented really nicely with different homemade items like quiche and scones on different days. There were also fresh fruits and yoghurt and a cooked breakfast to be had, so much it was a shame we couldn’t eat it all! The location was great, just round the corner from shops and restaurants and guarded parking was across the street.

De Hoek Manor was perfectly located just around the corner from restaurants and bars. Parking was secure. Everything about the manor was upmarket and luxurious and very comfortable. The breakfast was served to your table and included all the traditional items as well as fruit smoothies. A lovely start to our day. De Hoek Manor is reminiscent of the days when customers were really valued and nothing was too much trouble . The owner could not have been more helpful or accommodating. It was a beautiful experience and well worth the money.

Had a wonderful two night stay. Everything was amazing. Ilzebet gave us a very friendly welcome and was on hand to help us with any questions. The room was beautiful, with soft towels and delightful toiletries. Breakfast was served in a gorgeous dining area and was delicious, with a great selection of food. I would highly recommend.
