How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Covered parking big enough for a D/C bakkie. Patio with a weber. Playstation and games provided, will keep kids busy on rainy days.

Very nice and big apartment with everything you might need. Nice views from the balcony (which was also very big) and good location close to the sea and some good restaurants. We only stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer.

Very well equipped and beautifully furnished, clean and great location. View of the lighthouse and the sea from the balcony. Wifi worked perfectly. Big TV with Netflix and playstation which my kids enjoyed after a long day outside. Secure underground parking. Lockbox instructions were sent to me in advanced without me having to ask for it. The lockbox setup also makes it easier as exact arival times don't have to be coordinated with host's availability.

There is absolutely nothing we didn't like
The apartment is fully equiped with everything you need and much more. This was the cleanest place we have ever stayed at. Even the fan and top of cupboards were dust free. Absolutely amazing. The location is perfect. It is a very short walking distance from the beach. The host was also very friendly and accommodating.

A small container of milk to go with the coffee & tea that was provided, would be appreciated.
It was close to the venue where we had to be & other attractions. A very nice, quiet neighborhood, Safe, underground parking exactly what we wanted. The flat is modern & cozy. My son was ecstatic about the Playstation 4 & the little extras made us feel welcome.

The apartment was comfortable, with a spacious patio that offer plenty of outdoor space. The PlayStation made the stay even more enjoyable. There are many food options downstairs, great location in general.

That night was unusually cold. No visible air-conditioning in the bedrooms, therefore a heater would have been a bonus.
It's a full house self-catering unit. A home away from home. Location was perfect.

Stairs are quite narrow and steep if you are not very mobile (luckly we are still fit and mobile😄). Nearby nightlife might be a disturbance for early / light sleepers.
Perfect!! Apartment was in a prestine condition upon arrival. Directions to location and getting the keys were clear. All facilities are 5☆ quality. Beds are comfy; linen, towels etc were crisp and clean, comfy pillows. Will not leave you wanting anything❤️. Parking area is safe and secure.

I honestly can't pinpoint anything significant that I disliked. The accommodation met all my expectations.
I particularly appreciated the inclusion of a Playstation in the apartment, which was a fantastic way to keep the kids entertained and happy. The overall comfort and cleanliness of the apartment also contributed to a wonderful and stress-free vacation experience.

It really is a minor, but a small two plate gas hob would be nice for loadshedding times, but otherwise everything was perfect and we will definitely visit again.
Perfect location close to town and the ocean. Safe parking for our vehicle. Great accomoddation with a lovely outdoor space. Especially like the washing machine facility.

Everything was good.
Having the apartment was brilliant after staying in lodges + B&B's.We got our clothes washing done and used the kitchen facilities. Perfect location for your stay in Mossel Bay. The secure car parking was also good.
