Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Although watching TV wasn't in our plan, the place can do better with channels that are watchable and entertaining. for a double room, one large and one small towels are not enough. The tea station was not stocked up, there was no coffee. Swimming pool was green. Other facilities like games room are non-functional.
I like the fact that our room had sitting place outside with a table and chairs which we took inside and established a sitting area. the room was spacious and could accommodate additional furnisher. The room had a bar fridge and a microwave, which was awesome. Bed was comfortable and bedding clean.

I know you still busy with renovations and if we get to visit you again in future that the kitchen would be upgraded. I think you will also look at the physical appearance in general. The thatched roof was a problem for me because of my allergies.
We did not take the option of breakfast. The location is excellent, everything we need was in walking distance and really safe. Thank you for accommodating us so late at night to check in. The security was good and we just loved the silence and tranquility.

The towels have old dark stains. They need to improve on the cleanliness of the towels and the the iron was also dirty.

Passive smoking .. cigarette smoke used to come through the ceiling from the other room especially at night.. I was in room one.
The place is clean and safe..very near to supermarkets. So convenient.

The towels could be whiter if they can just be bleached, the shower floor could be whiter too. Some of the pillows had a bit of a scene of hair of a previous user. Maybe some of pillow cases weren't changed even though they were clean.

Not much to dislike actually. The facilities may not be "all that" however it is a decent enough place to get the rest that you need but still feel comfortable in the space.
The owner and the staff were extremely kind and helpful. Even at the last minute they were so welcoming and willing to assist. That made the whole experience even better for us.

Location bad. Staff bad, facilities were the worst. I couldn't even sleep because I felt unsafe.

The carpets in front of bed were "grillerig". Mats in bathroom awful. Tap in shower came off on touching.

Everything inside the room was top notch clean and a bit of class, warm welcome and I did enjoy the swimming pool in the morning before i check out, very close to shops and restaurant not forgetting the rand airport less than 5 km

The security guy said something very rude to my partner not aware his going to hear him but he apologized things nearly got physical.......My advice for the guy he must not forget his at work don't just speak anyhow with clients, you guys are running a business after all ....but it was sorted
I liked the location close to the Mall and garage but the facility is a mess yerrrrr It was a struggle to get inside my room after it rained I had to take off my shoes and walk in a mud and water after i had to take a shower and wash my shoes......they are renovating the place i feel they should have closed down until they done with renovations or only use the rooms in front of the pool only.....
