Delicious breakfast every morning, nicely presented in a picnic style basket and served in a closed in patio with beautiful view and fireplace for cold mornings. Freshly baked croissants, rolls and muffins. Every day the egg dish is new, or can be adjusted to your own taste. Our rooms were big, well equipped, spotless with lovely underfloor heating. Host and other staff were all very friendly, professional and accommodating. Can highly recommend!

Located in a very nice area with beautiful views, the place is very clean and immaculate. The room was big and the bed super comfortable. The location was perfect nearby some very nice wineries, and also next to De Zalze golf. Breakfast was very enjoyable sitting in the beautiful garden.

In Cape Vermeer, everything is perfect. Richard is the best host ever, and we love it there. The room right at the pool is spacious; the pool area is super nice. The best is the delicious breakfast, and the stuff is very friendly and caring.

The view is incredible. The breakfasts are delicious (the pastries and croissants were SO fresh), and the attention to detail is impressive. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The glass house where we worked and had breakfast was so quaint and comfortable. The views from there are lovely. Richard and Bart, our hosts, made the stay very memorable and special. They are so professional and welcoming and do everything with excellence. Cape Vermeer will definitely be our go-to place when we stay in that part of the Cape.

This is a #1 Guesthouse. It is easy to see why it gained the Tripadvisor Travellers Choice Best of the Best 2021/22/23! Richard the host was outstanding. He took a personal interest in our enjoyment and satisfaction at the property. The breakfast was outstanding in every respect, with care and attention to the provision of fresh ingredients and freshly cooked dishes. The bed comfort is superior with mattresses that provided excellent support and comfort. Finally, the setting is wonderful with views over False Bay and the Heldeberg Mountain. What more could you ask for.....! We have visited Somerset West for over 20 years and this is by far the best accomodation experience we have enjoyed. We will certainly return.

If you are looking for a peaceful and quiet retreat to explore Cape Town's surrounding coastal and wine areas than look no further. The host Richard (and his friendly staff) are exceptional in looking into all details and providing you a "Home away from home". We were personally welcomed by Richard and had a welcome drink in the garden lounge (with a stunning view). The room, the location, the breakfast, ... everything was simply next level. The room was absolutely gorgeous and had everything you could possibly need. Richard and all of the team are really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was the best we've ever had - freshly cooked and baked goodies every morning and kindly adapted to suit any dietary requirements. The pool area is lovely and we often had it to ourselves during the day. There's some great wine estates within a short drive as well.

We enjoyed our stay at Cape Vermeer so much for so many reasons! Starting with the beautiful location in serene surroundings and luxurious and comfortable room (with attention to every detail). Furthermore, Richard was an amazing host; very customer friendly and helpful, really top notch! But his staff was also very friendly, with Blessing standing out the most. What a hardworking and cheerful man, he put a smile on your face every time. And last but not least the super tasty breakfast, with lots of fresh products and delicious egg dishes, made by Richard himself. In short, an absolute must! Do not hesitate but do it!

Located in a residential neighborhood, the property offers limited opportunities for walking or outdoor activities on-site. Additionally, the pool is situated directly in front of the rooms, which may not be ideal for those seeking more privacy.

This is one of the best Bed & Breakfast properties I’ve ever stayed at! The impeccably clean, luxurious, and spacious bedroom and bathroom truly stand out. The creative breakfast basket was a delightful and unique touch—something I’ve never experienced before. The beautifully landscaped gardens, filled with a variety of plants and flowers, add to the charm. The host was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, even when I accidentally misplaced my room key and had to wake him at dawn to open the gate. A truly memorable stay!
