Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. South Africa is a treasure — wild in nature, warm in people, and rich in flavors. But the soul of true hospitality lies not only in luxury surroundings, but in the respect shown to the guest’s time, energy, and presence. It’s one thing to savor a slow meal when it’s woven with care. It’s another to feel forgotten — like your presence is a background detail, not a moment that matters. This isn’t about speed. Location of the hotel is perfect for exploring the Cape, the breakfast was excellent, good choice of hot & cold selections & service was swift & staff always very pleasant & helpful. Bed was very comfortable & the room was clean & serviced well. We also had dinner one evening at the Heirloom restaurant which was excellent, with good choices & good wine list.All round very lovely hotel with exceptional service & staff thanks very much.

Wonderful location, amazing furnishings/decor and the most helpful staff! All so friendly and wanting to do anything to make your stay enjoyable. Such beautiful people. The food was excellent as well. Loved how many healthy options there were at the breakfast buffet including the various health powders and juices / tonics. Also loved the Le Labo toiletries!

United StatesThe menu is too small :( there is no food served late at night, very few dinner options on the menu and no breakfast options. You have to go down stairs for breakfast which ends quite early too. When on holiday some people prefer to sleep in so adding breakfast and more dinner options to the menu would really work well and round off the whole experiences. Not to mention downstairs booking a dinner at the restaurant, when handed the menu it’s the exact same as the lunch menu we had that day. Very disappointing:( we would look forward to returning if the food options were just upgraded
The property is absolutely amazing. The ambiance is incredible, the location is so central, we felt so safe with such great security checks through the property. The room is so clean, the towels are amazing and bed linen. The harbour and Mountain View side is just perfect. We would definitely stay here again especially if they upgraded the menu selection

South AfricaThe ladies cleaning the rooms . One specifically, Saturday 14January2023 , at 12:00 . Left us with wet towels , no toilet paper and took my shopping bags I put away to use later . ( if I wanted to throw them away I would’ve put it in the dustbin? ) it just wasn’t great , nothing was cleaned , she wasn’t very friendly when we approached the room . It was disappointing.
The staff members were very helpful and friendly . The breakfast was also very nice .
