Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesIt would have been nice to have some variety in the morning pre-game drive and sunrise snack.
The breakfast by the river on the last day was a nice bonus. We saw giraffes across the river! The tracker was fantastic and the food was very good. The tents were clean and the beds were comfortable. It was nice to be in an area that wasn't busy. We only saw a few other jeeps during our stay.

GermanyOut of all our stays through our South Africa trip, this was the best experience of them all! The staff was exceptional. We had the best time on our morning and afternoon game drives. Having breakfast near the river where Hippos were sleeping, or snacks at a waterhole with a huge elephant family. We made the best memories. As an addition they took fantastic care of us, gluten-free meals were no problem at all.

NetherlandsWe found the ranger a little annoying as he really followed his own agenda during the game drives, instead of listening to us and to find out what we were looking for. The female 'spotter' was not very friendly and this combination of both marred our game drive experience. Also the drive back to the airport in an open vehicle at 80/100km an hour was not a pleasant experience and once again showed the disconnect the female spotter/driver had with us (guests). Don't expect pressure showers in your tent!
Bundox is a special place. We were picked up from the airport and as it was our first time in Kruger, didn't know what to expect. The drive took us to the 'camp' which consists of 4 tents plus facilities for the team that live on site and common areas like the kitchen/dining area and pool/lounge area. Just after our arrival we spotted an elephant that came drinking from the water hole just in front of the lounge area which was a great first encounter with the wildlife in the camp. We stayed 3 nights and did the 2 safari's each day. At 4 hours each a lot of time is spent in the jeep looking for wildlife but it was definitely worth it as we were able to tick off 4 of the big 5. The female chef is excellent and the manager of the camp extremely accommodating and friendly and we had an amazing time there and can highly recommend Bundox. The camp fire evening and surprise breakfast at elephant river were nice touches.

IsraelNothing. Though, you need to know where it is your going. it is "glamping" meaning, fancy as possible but still a tent. the shower was the only not perfect thing since it has to be refiled by the staff every time and the stream was low but for us it was part of the experience. we had an amazing night
the staff was AMAZING. it felt like a dream. the place is beautiful and calm, the food was great and the atmosphere as well. Drinks were included, both by the pool and at the game drive. the game drive crew was outstanding - professionals. they stopped for trails and animals poop.

Everything was perfect, we had a wonderful stay! Perfect combination of luxury and relaxed atmosphere. Food was delicious, best we had in SouthAfrica. JD and Maurits were great guides who did their work with humour and could tell us a lot about the area and animals. we were sad to leave after two nights, would loved to have stayed longer!

Australia- the game drive vehicles were not fitted with radios and so if any other cars in the park spotted animals we were unable to contact anyone or receive any updates, this made it extremely hard for our rangers to find the big 5. - Bundox is located in a private reserve, and they are not allowed to travel outside of their reserve, but animals are allowed to. There is only 1 pride of lions in this park and the entire time we stayed there they were in another reserve so we didn’t get to see lions. - Out of the big 5 we only saw 2 animals! (The elephants we saw everyday, and we saw 1 rhino, we did spot a leopard but it was night time and it was very very far away) a lot of other vehicles in our area did see the big 5 because they were able to talk to each other on the radios. So this was very disappointing. - the beers and other beveridges at the small bar were never very cold either, I got used to drink room temperature beer by the end of it, as they kept turning the fridge off to save power.
- 2 game drives per day included - all food included was good - the pool area was great, we got to see elephants 10m in front of us at the waterhole 2/3 days we stayed there. - tour guides were great
