Fabulous place with such character and perfectly placed to just walk to see the penguins at Boulders beach before the bus-loads arrived. Take your swimmers as the beaches were just divine and worth a dip on a sunny day. Alex was so accommodating. Fab breakfast too.

Would have been nice to have electric blanket and a heater to warm room up in winter, the fireplace was lovely but not that effective at heating the room.

Just a bit chilly in the cold snap with only the fire place for heating, but not too much of a bother.

The property has a lot character and history and is beautiful to explore some of the original features which still exist.

We loved every second being here and felt very welcomed, although we could just stay for one night! The rooms and interior are super stylish! Alex is a wonderful host! We would come back anytime!

The walk to town in the evening to get to the restaurants and shops is about 1km along the main road. Not too bad as there is a pavement each side but just be aware.

They have done a great job of restoring the property in an old/new Cape style - just what we wanted. Everything works. The breakfasts were good and "hand cooked", plus fresh ground coffee. You can also store your own food/drink in their fridge if needed. The parking in the grounds is good. The location is perfect for penguins at Boulders and there is a swimmable public beach 200m away. It is a great base for the area, and there is a lovely garden & patio with chairs to relax in if needed. The friendliness and helpful local knowledge of the hosts was wonderful, from start to finish. There is a small swimming pool on the property but we did not use it as the beach was close by.

This gem situated in the heart of Simon’s Town is easy accessible, close (walking distance) from all amenities, with a wonderful view and garden. Neat, clean, with the most thoughtful finishing touches. Our hosts Alex & Nic made us feel right at home. They truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and was so accommodating. The rest of the staff are so friendly.

Great new boutique place in a great location in Simon's Town -- close to the famous Boulders Beach. Alexandra, the host, and her husband have redone a century-old heritage building and created an oasis. Facilities were excellent, including pool, lots of info and snorkel gear. Arrival worked out very smoothely, but gate + driveway is rather narrow and requires some precision with a larger car.

Newly renovated, with modern facilities and you could even cook! Warm, friendly and welcoming hosts, very communicative. Fast internet was perfect for working, and walking distance to the penguins and the main street with restaurants. I would've happily stayed here for one month!

A small radio/speaker or television would have been a bonus, just to break the dead silence but next time I'll just pop in my portable speaker.

Alex was a wonderful hostess. Everything advertised on Booking.com was accurate. The room was very clean, the bed really comfortable, the location couldn't have been better and everything I wanted to know Alex was more than happy to share with me. I had a fantastic experience.
