Only complaint would be that the bed wasn’t that comfortable.

Beautiful location. Quiet. Hosts were very helpful. Cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. All basics were provided for self catering. We didn’t try the hot tub but looked very inviting. On a working farm so was lovely to walk around the farm. Definitely recommend staying here if you stop over in Barrydale.

It was a place we would definitely go again. Very peaceful but close enough to restaurants and bars. Rooms are well appointed and large. We would stay longer next time for a nice unwind

Unfortunately there was miss coms with my booking & supposedly auto check in. I didn't get the msgs iro which cottage & code etc. Hence was a delay & frustration. All got sorted tho and I really enjoyed my stay..

Such lovely, cute, fully contained cottages with great stylish touches well done Bertus & family. Loved the kitty & doggos that visited me too.

We booked the Cornlia room and it was much bigger than we expected . This place had everything and more than what we needed . It had ONE huge shower and a normal shower . It had a double bed and two singles bed on the other side . It had kitchen equipment in both sides . It had electric blankets' on every bed as well as panel heater for the cold nights . Indoor fireplace and wood provided as well . Beautiful place on the farm . Will def recommended this place . Wifi as well .

Nothing not to like

We loved our on-the-way overnight stop at Corlie cottage. It was exceptionally cold out and the unit was so cosy. The kitchenette was well equipped for self catering. And we had a great braai on the enclosed stoep.

The signage not quite clear. There is signage, but I would never expect to need to travel the final stretch over a dirt and narrow road. Breakfast not provided, which I knew, but I wish a bottle of water had been there to take some meds

The setting. Beautiful little property with a garden and mountain backdrop. I was warmly received and given a nice, comfortable, and quiet room. Nice local digs and cat. Generous check out time offered.

We absolutely loved our stay here – everything was perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth and felt completely at home. The accommodation was beautiful, and the electric blankets for the chilly nights were such a thoughtful touch. The views were stunning, the energy of the place was so inviting, and we felt completely safe as three girls staying together. It truly was a wonderful experience

The only downside was the hot water running out after the first shower, which is a big no-no to me!

Location was perfect, beautiful nature surroundings and quiet. Large open plan room with very comfortable bed and beautifully decorated. Did not take breakfast but everything available to quickly whip up your own breakfast or enjoy it in the nearby restaurant. Blue Cow Barn is an absolute gem and highly recommended.

I don't really want to give a great review, as it will mean that I will struggle to find a booking in future..lol.. However, all I can is that, if you looking for a place, not too far from Cape Town, that is located in a quaint town, that has all the creature comforts that you would need, that has the most awesome garden, beautiful views, and wi-fi...to show your friends and family how great the places is...if you looking for such a place....The Blue Cow Barn is for you. People are friendly and helpful, and if you want self-catering( like our group) or catered meals.. you have that choice too. They even cater for functions.. Will definitely be back again.
