The place is really like what you see in the photos. It's clean, comfortable everything you need is at Big Fish Cottage. You don't need to take anything with they supply the towels, bedding, all your cookware is there. Dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier. It definitely accomodates 10 people. Thank you Jan for being an amazing host. I would also like to thank Thando for driving all the way to us when we needed help locating the grill. Everything about Big Fish Cottage was exceptional we really had an amazing holiday pity it was so short. My overseas family were really impressed they said it felt like they never left home. Thank you Jan.

The noise of the water tanks during the night. Loud and disturbing. Couldn't sleep Insufficient toilet paper was given.

A pool would have made this a perfect holiday home.

The peace and tranquility of nature. The distance of walking to the beach and the convenience of having stores close by was a bonus. House was well equipped and clean. It felt like a home away from home.

It was a pity that the garden is so overgrown which puts one off from venturing down into it and the bushes block any view that could be had from the lounge patio. The house would also benefit by adding basins upstairs. Lack of water in these areas made the stay for those upstairs a bit awkward.

Our family of 10 fitted very comfortably in this cottage. It was clean and homely with comfy beds and furniture. We loved the sea view from the top patio and we especially loved the aircon in the lounge downstairs. I'm sure we'll be back.

Although there are some floor standing aircon thingys upstairs there is a desperate need for an aircon like the one downstairs. Shading on the upper deck

Firstly I loved the aircon that keeps the whole bottom part of the house absolutely cool. The sofas and beds are very very comfy. Host is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The house is very close to some beautiful beaches. Jan is very helpful and friendly. We knew everything we needed to know upfront and he was also so proactive when the water was off and we had to swith to the Jojo tanks. It's great that we were not affected by the water cut. There are 2 huge Jojo tanks. Ample for 10 people.

Shower frame needs to be re siliconed. Water leaks onto floor after showering. Need to fit main gate automation. Risky to manually close or open gate late nights

I was absolutely amazing and perfect, exceeded my expectations.

The host is caring,checked on us as needed .He paid attention to detail to our needs and we felt homely . This place is spacious and comfortable. There is Everything that you need , makes being on holiday worth the savings for vacation ;we left refreshed and refueled. It's close to the beach and shopping centre. The place is refreshing ,has lots of trees and there is a beautiful area for braai(barbecue) ,its has a beautiful awning so we sat outside, had a braai in the rain,the smell of fresh rain left us wholesome. I love the sea and it's a walking distance. From the patio you can get the Seaview and it's at the top of the hill ,morning breeze is amazing. I was impressed from the start till our departure..I would love to come back whenever I am in Port Edward.....

It was a pity that there were no basins in upstairs toilets.

We enjoyed every minute of our holiday. From the two fridges and washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher to the comfortable couch. There were two spacious decks to relax on and admire the beautiful garden. The beds were oh so comfortable and rooms spacious. We will definitely return!!

Bedrooms are really cold at night. Also there is no soundproofing between the 2 floors so everybody inside can hear you lol. Also maybe look at installing armed response, this is SA after all.

Really well kept and tidy, and a short drive from the best that Port Edward has to offer. Take binoculars and you might be lucky enough to spot whales from the deck as we were.

Please add a swimming pool. And if possible, arrange the other bedroom exit door not to pass from one's bedroom, for terms of privacy, just like the other bedroom with double bed and twin beds.

Everything was there for our home away from home gate away vacation. Nothing to complain about. Thank you so much for all arrangements, definitely coming back with my kids
