It was a very cold weekend, and the open fire was in the bedroom so not great for my asthma. The electric fire did not work so we did light the fire one night, it was a bit smoky. Needs one or two things in the kitchen and no stove, just two ring burner and microwave. Too cold to braai. Don't think I saw one, although there is a fireplace grate on the stoep in a space which is suitable for a braai

Peter was a very friendly and informative host. It's on the edge of town, slightly Bohemian and very Green which we respect and try to be. Parking outside our tiny cottage was easy. We were comfortable overnight but not there much in the day as there is quite a lot to do in Prince Albert. Recommend the Lazy Lizard cafe especially.

Think the entrance from the road needs a re think because it detracts from the accommodation. Some folk may draw the wrong conclusion before they have even seen the place.

The property needs some TLC. The bedding felt quite worn out. There were dirty glasses in the kitchen and the surrounding area was quite noisy.

The bathroom was clean and it was situated on an olive farm.

It’s on the edge of town which is poorly lit at night, so you probably need to drive in to bars and restaurants, even though it’s not very far.

It was the rustic farmhouse experience we wanted. Friendly reception. Clean. A house with soul. Sat outside 'till late on the homemade love chair to look at the stars. Saw snake trail in the sand the next morning. Forgot my koeksisters in their brand new container in the fridge which means I'll be back. Baie dankie. Die regte ondervinding vir die Karoo

Simple, modest, retro style but marvelous staying in a magic surround. Peter is a fantastic person. an excellent start of Swartberg Pass trip. Absolutely recommendable.

We love Prince Albert and the Klein Karoo. Very good value for money. The decor was delightful. We only used the bed and shower, but were pleasantly surprised by the cooking facilities

The kitchen was not well equipped, the crockery and cutlery is old and mismatched. Some of the dishes were dirty, from previous guests use. The swimming pool was green and not usable (would've been a huge benefit during this hot season)

The apartment is on the outskirts of town and have lovely views of the surrounding mountains. The host did leave ice and firewood for us when we informed him that we would arrive after the shops were due to close.

Can’t think of anything we didn’t like. The only thing maybe is the location is a bit out of town. The pool was dirty, but it is an old pool, the water probably comes from an old bore hole.

Old farm house feel, was amazing. How many stories that old house could tell. Peaceful and quiet. Really enjoyed our stay as here as a family.

The reception/arrival area was a little daunting and we thought we were in the wrong place as it is on the outskirts of town. We were actually checking google to see if we were in the right place when a young man popped out of nowhere to walk us to the accommodation and let us in. So we can't really comment on the staff as we saw the shy young man for all of 2 mins and he said 5 words :)

Very quaint old house, we were very comfortable there and had everything we needed. Very much like staying in the family's old farm house. Very quiet and peaceful.
