Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaNo corkscrew, the braai grid was also broken. The wood was very wet. Luckily I brought my own wood along as well.
Beautiful location and the hot tub!

NetherlandsIt was quite windy when we stayed there, which made it quite chilly and noisy at times.
We loved the concept, the location close to Hermanus, the hot tub, the heated blankets and the breakfast baskets in the morning.

South AfricaThere should have been a roof over the braai area; it rained, and we had to stand in the rain. During rainy times, people would want to braai even more. Also, I wish we at least had a Yale lock for the entrance.
The Tent was nice and warm, the lack of a television unit was nice, and we got to spend quality time together. I loved the views and peacfulness.

Love these glamping units. They have everything you need. They have a fireplace and electric blankets for winter with warm bedding and extra blankets. The reception is very helpful and respond and assist very quickly.

South AfricaThe couch is practical but not all that comfortable for multiple people sharing.
The location of the Camp was close to the town of Stanford and therfore also many attractions. The tents are well spaced, lending some sense of privacy without impeding on the wonderful views.

South AfricaLack of privacy, noise from other tents going all night, issues with wifi, and lack of comfortable seating. Towels need an upgrade/refresh.

South AfricaUnfortunately for us it was raining which makes it difficult to braai as the braai area is not undercover. We experienced some issues with the gas geyser but they did come and sort it out. Small things like the toaster not working wasn't big issue but should have been sorted.
The breakfast and braai baskets were exceptionally good and we really enjoyed the stay.

Check in was very easy, especially with our dog. The Hottub was amazing! The bed and pillows were comfortable. A great thing was the shower pressure and hot water. The views from the tent and around the farm are stunning. We went to the restaurant and looked at the ducks in the little pond, we also met Crackling the resident piggy. Our dog loved sitting on the deck watching everything.

South AfricaAdvise campers that they need to come fully stocked as there are no big shops in Stanford for buying your braai meat, etc.

United KingdomThe whole "glamping" experience was excellent. Everything was done to the highest quality and well thought out. On site was a very nice shop and cafe where one could eat or buy food to cook. There were some quirky luxuries, ie. the hot tub heated by firewood. The property was set apart from the other properties giving privacy and a nice decking to sit and relax and look out over the water hole.

South AfricaThe bathroom needs a lot more towel rails and/or hooks. Especially considering that the unit has a hot tub. We were 4 x guests, struggling to manage 8 x towels daily. I suggest, at the very least, adding towel rails behind the 2 x doors of the units. Cleaning service and staff engagement was mediocre compared to Africamps Magoebas where we visited earlier in 2024.
Excellent location. The unit is well equipped and spacious. The added benefit of having access to the music festivals hosted by Stanford Hills was a welcome bonus!
