How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Excellent location, clean spacious studio with all the necessities and safe parking was available. There is a lovely communal outside garden area with a plunge pool. Ken was on site to meet us in person at check in and check out and gave lots of suggestions of what to do in the area.

From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. Ken is an amazing host and his property is absolutely perfect. Definitely staying here again when we go to George.

Nothing. Just booked too short a stay. Next time we will book for longer.
No breakfast but many options in the area. Also, a full kitchen is included. The decor is individual for each unit. We were shon a few and could select on as each one unit had a unique layout.

Not a single thing I can think of.
Super clean, neat and comfortable and beautifully decorated self-catering units. The best we have so far come across in George... and we used many over the years! Ken is a great and caring host who takes pride in his establishment, and it shows in every detail. We'll be back.

The location are perfect. its close to fast food restaurants, local grocery stores like picknpay and woolworths. Ken met with us to handover the keys personally. He was very helpful in all aspects, from making sure our towels was ready on time. he assists us with the braai equipment . He is also very knowledgeable regarding the town surroundings. He even mentioned a local butchery, regarding their nice products. We could see Ken love people in general and he is a very social person. He was constantly checking on us and making sure we are okay and happy with everything. The apartment was clean. it got very cold during the night, but we grab a blanket to cover us on the couch because we were watching rugby at the time. the place is very cosy. I love the bathroom and especially the mirror with the touch screen feature when us ladies wants to do our make up. What we most love about the place are all the lamps and dim lights, so its easy to create a romantic atmosphere, from the entertainment area even to the bathroom Ken seems like a very openminded flexible host. Nothing seems to much for him. Our checkout process was also easy.

This was great stay. Ken is awesome. He even invites you for coffee after a long trip. I will reccommend his property above most in George Value for money. Book with him.

I loved everything about the property, Ken is the nicest host I’ve ever came across. On our arrival he started by giving us a tour of the entire establishment and then we continued to check in on our booked apartment where he kept checking on us throughout our stay to ensure we were still having the best time and also recommended other places we could visit in the area. Thank you Ken for your hospitality.

Property is in a perfect location... We wanted the mountains, which were 1k away and it's 300m from town. Perfectly quiet, so it was ideal. Had everything that we needed, so very comfy!

Loved the place. Stayed in Unit 1 and it had everything we needed. Smart Tv,WiFi, coffee machine etc.Big thumbs up to the owner for his hospitality. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at 28 on Symonds three times over the course of 2 weeks while visiting family in George. This was the perfect place to stay for us as it was centrally located, yet private and very well looked after. The accommodation was smartly put together with many personal touches and a contemporary and modern finishing. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bed was ridiculously comfortable. What made this place outstanding was our host, Ken. He was really hands on, personable and friendly. Nothing was too much for him and it really showed that he cared about his place and his guests. One particular highlight was, him personally looking after some laundry for us and returning it to our room and then lighting a wood fire in our lounge to return to after dinner on a particularly cold and wet evening. We absolutely loved 28 on Symonds and have found our home away from home for the next time we visit family in the area.

We liked the fact that the host was so friendly and checked on us whenever he saw us. Definitely a great area, close to everything, walking distance to McDonalds and such. The place was very quiet, the place was very neat and tidy. We'll definitely be back, thank you so much Ken.

Nothing really. The solar panels were fitted and started working on the morning we left so future guests will appreciate the uninterrupted power.
Great central location close to restaurants shops and golf courses. Very well equipped apartment with everything you need. Ken was a very helpful host.
