We used this just as a comfortable spot between flights. The place was gorgeous in a safe and lovely area. The building itself was very fancy and the staff incredibly helpful. The food served was amazing and included in our booking. We were the only ones staying for the 2 nights and the staff could not do enough for us. Wish we had more time to relax and enjoy the place.

the fact i couldn't stay longer

The estate is exceptional, the staff ensured my stay was epic, so kind and loving and attentive. my schedule while in south Africa was extremely busy however the staff where able to assist 24/7 with no complaints. i hope to return in the future xx

While the room was very spacious and well-appointed, the bathroom was a bit tired.

There was a great choice of breakfasts, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the location was great. It was only about 20 minutes from the airport, and an easy drive to Rosebank and Sandton.

We did not receive coffee with breakfast, and they were uncertain when we could come for breakfast since I had to be at the university early in the morning. They did not seem eager to assist me with an early breakfast. But in the end, breakfast was nice.

Staff were very friendly, breakfast was delicious, in summary we all enjoyed our stay and wish we stayed longer.

A little slice of heaven tucked away in Jhb. I loved the calm and serenity of the place, the wonderful staff, the luxurious comfort, and the superb breakfast. All in all a great experience.

I can't think of something I didn't like.

The staff was super friendly. They always greeted us and were very interested in knowing how our stay was and what they could do better. The meals were delicious, and the chef was always present to talk with us. The hotel ambiance seems like a small antique palace, which makes you feel like a prince. Upon our arrival, we were received with a non-alcoholic cocktail.

The pool right outside the restaurant window. The water is heated, and I would definitely have gone for a swim in the mornings, if I did not feel so looked at by the breakfast people in the restaurant :-)

The hotel is a true boutique experience. You have the feeling you arrive at someone's large home. The service was impecable, across all area's. Special mention for Luke who made me feel so welcome, and if I did not have time for breakfast in the morning, he would bring me a complimentary cappucino on the veranda in the afternoon. Overall, all staff were very friendly and no request was too much. One day we even had some pies delivered from outside for one of my meeting guests and they were served for us, as if they came out of their own kitchen. Wonderful, I am definitely coming back.

Weak internet and satellite TV signal, I think maybe just in our room, but otherwise a lovely stay.

Nicely appointed rooms. Plenty of hot water and a nice big shower and separate bathtub. Lots of big towels. Good breakfast included. Very friendly staff!
