A wonderful stay at 1 Royal Street Guest House. Lovely hosts. We were made to feel most welcome. A delicious breakfast served up by Antonio in a beautifully decorated setting. Will definately visit again.

Beautiful guesthouse filled with interesting art, great host (and cute host doggies). 3 course breakfast served the next day was also wonderful! Right in the middle of town so close walking distance to all the restaurants.

Gracious, kind, friendly host who made us feel welcome and special. Delicious, different, lovingly prepared breakfast. Very cosy, comfortable bed. Fantastic shower. Easy to visit local attractions from 1Royal Street Guesthouse, on foot and by car. Interesting decor. Beautiful garden. Non-intrusive host, yet very obliging to meet any special requests.

What a splendid weekend away. 1 Royal Street Guesthouse is an absolute gem so close to Cape Town. Riebeeck Kasteel is a beautiful little town with a big, big heart. The hospitality of our host, Antonio, was exceptional. This beautiful guesthouse will definitely see us again. Thank you Antonio for a super special breakfast, made and served by yourself. Everything was exceptional.

A truly inspirational one night stay at 1 Royal Street Guesthouse, with unbeatable location right in the heart of town. Every inch of this guesthouse bares testimony to Antonio and Ashley's passion for travel, art, reading, food, gardening and fine countryside living. Each space is filled with unique artwork, collected over many years from all over the world. Each piece with its own story, which Antonio was happy to share. The guesthouse has a carefully curated yet comfortable and relaxing feeling. Our room was extremely well appointed and the beautiful fabrics and bespoke furniture pieces made for a true feast for the eyes. Antonio's beautifully presented three course breakfast was an experience in itself. Croissants freshly baked by Antonio and served with his own homemade preserves was a special treat. Excellent communication from Antonio. A short but memorable stay. Will definitely be back.

Everything was perfect

I recently had the pleasure of staying at 1 Royal Street Guest House, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The location is absolutely perfect, allowing easy access to all the local attractions and amenities. Every aspect of the guest house was perfect. The décor was simply wonderful, showcasing a great attention to detail. The place was spotless, which is an important factor for me as a fussy traveller. The breakfast was fabulous, offering thoughtful, homemade, 3 courses, with local delicacies. The host, Antonio, was amazing, always attentive and willing to assist with any needs or questions. Overall, this guest house gets a well-deserved 10 stars from me. It truly went above and beyond in every way.

This has been one of the best experiences we have had. The owner Antonio is an incredible host. The rooms are so unique and so clean. The unique art all over the walls and in the rooms really made for such a unique experience. The breakfast experience was really special. Everything about this guesthouse exceeded expectations. We loved all of it.

What a jewelbox of a guesthouse. Absolutely gorgeous place, very comfortable rooms with the best beds and linens we experienced our whole trip. High ceilings, lovely bathroom, and the prettiest pool/garden area. Truly cannot recommend this guesthouse enough. Close to everywhere you'd walk to walk to in Riebeeck Kasteel. Antonio is an excellent host (and baker!). Thank you for a perfect stay. We'll be back.

It couldn't get better. In the centre of Riebeek Kasteel, Ashley and Antonio have curated a creative and culinary experience that reflects this artistic country town. Artwork from painters, photographers and sculptors is carefully arrayed on the walls with the rooms very comfortably arranged, with high ceilings and air conditioning for the odd hot day. The handmade croissants, Brazillan coffee and beautifully presented breakfast made us wish we had, just one more day.
