“Montrose River Lodge turned out to be a great place for a stop between Graskop / Kruger and OR Tambo airport. Set in lovely green gardens with all kinds of plants, peacocks, monkeys and other birds, there is a tuck shop for snacks, an incredibly helpful and friendly host, and dinner available (for a price) if you let her know in advance. We stayed in the guest house; unlike other places we stayed in the double beds here are a decent size and the rooms large. There are walks around the area and along the river. The pool proved popular for a cool off from the heat.”
