“An amazing stay in the bush. Our tent was very comfortable and cozy, as was the bed and we had a great shower. The entire property is spotlessly clean. All you need is provided, and more. The crew and owners are amazing! Such friendly and knowledgeable people.
The food was excellent. We loved the game drives, the relaxing at the pool watching the elephants drinking from the waterholes, and the birds, squirrels and bushbok in the yard.
In the night we heard and saw hyenas at our waterhole from the tent.
We were very sad to leave, and are looking forward to going back in the future.”
“Excellent camp layout with a great view of the Bush. The permanent Tented accommodation is classic glamping with a large space and even a bathtub with a bush view. The tents are quite private and located to maximize the in the Bush feel. Very well designed with a great combination of being safe to move around at night but not feeling fenced in. Great pool and deck area. Very good meals and lots of interaction with the guides. We will be back.”
“Nice location with a popular waterhole in front. Family run with a friendly atmosphere. Meals are Italian influenced and really exceptional for a bush location.”
“Beautiful location in the middle of nature. The tents are very comfortable, the food is super delicious, de evening braai is an extraordinary experience. It was great to sit around the fire in the evening and chat with the other guests. A tip: if you're there in winter, be sure to bring warm clothes!”
“An absolute paradise for wildlife lovers — and a dream come true for photographers! We spent just two days at Antares, and I only wish we could have stayed longer. In only a few magical hours in the underground hide, we were treated to unforgettable close-up visits from elephants, impala, and duiker.
Antares bursts with life — an incredible variety of birds flock to the hides, offering endless opportunities for photography. Dwarf mongooses scurried about the whole place during our stay. A second hide, complete with a small pool, is perfect for capturing an array of smaller birds drinking and bathing.
The lodge itself is wonderfully comfortable but still deeply immersed in the bush. The host, Ian was very welcoming, knowledgeable, and always ready to share fascinating insights about the reserve and its wildlife.
Everything here was exceptional. We will be back!”
