Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandCleanliness of the room could have been better and the fridge did not work very well.
We liked being able to sit close to the water on deck chairs and the view from our room. The hotel is very close to the airport and the port if you are catching the ferry to Savaii. The facilities were nice with some lovely views. Oddly there is a casino onsite - this provided us with some great entertainment.

New ZealandIt needs a general update, grounds need to be maintained, and it needs kayaks and other activities you can get from other resorts in the area.
Rooms were a great size, breakfast included was amazing. Staff were lovely.

Abkhazia, GeorgiaIt would be great if there were more traditional Samoan food options on the menu for lunch and dinner. Would be great if there were some kayaks/paddleboards/snorkeling gear to use at the beach.
Loved the pool but loved the access to the beach even more! Staff were lovely and friendly.

New ZealandThe cost of food and drinks was high compared to other resorts. The lunch / dinner menu could improve as this suffered from too large a range on the menu with too many things done average rather than being more local focused and inspired. No water sports equipment you have to bring your own. Rooms are large well fitted out and accepttable quality but starting to get a little tired and some deffered maintenance evident. (Same fittings as when I last visited in 2014)
The location was very convenient. The pool and resort grounds were excellent, beautiful condition. Breakfast was excellent, worth the cost. Rooms are very comfortable, private, and all of them have good views. (There are no bad rooms at this hotel due to the architectural layout) But they are showing age.

New ZealandNeeds more care on the basics in the rooms many power points didn't work, shower handle wouldn't stay up. Pool has a lot of paint peeling No happy hour or daily specials Sea is not the best for swimming as it is murky, not the fault of the hotel though. Would be good if there was insect screens on the door so it could be left open at night as an alternative to air con.
Beautiful location, relaxed. Nice large pool Rooms all had an ocean view and air conditioning. Friendly staff. Food was of a good standard. Good selection at buffet breakfast

New ZealandNothing to complain.. Some kids were loud but it's a family resort so understandable
The staff were very welcoming and beach front view is stunning. Perfect for people who just want a relaxing time. Food was also pretty nice. We did hear some other reviews but I wanted to justify for the place, it's in Samoa and anyone who has a bit of understanding of island culture shouldn't be like Americans to have unrealistic expectation.

New ZealandThe hotel is getting a little tired, drains were blocked, dirt piled up in the sliding door runner, scratched paint, overuse of sealant to stop leaks, the usual stuff. The room smelled a little musty on arrival but this cleared up after a day or so.
Breakfast is included and has a wide variety of choices. Lunch and dinner is available and uses the same menu for both; you can find it online. Great pool, lovely beaches, warm water and sunshine! Clean sheets and towels every day. There are short walks close by including one to the ferry terminal. Great air-conditioning. Take your phone with Google Chromecast to connect to the TV. Exceptional service.

New ZealandFood is very average. Does not match the quality of the facility. There are a lot of run down areas annexed to the resort. Spa and tennis court areas are derelict. Such a pity as this could be a premier resort but this and the food lets it down.
Pool and environment.

New ZealandLimited menu, it is the same everyday. Why not have at least an A&B menu and alternate. There are no water sports, not even snorkels to rent. Standards vary, our house keeper for most of the time was useless, missing towels, not replacing soap etc. The second one was excellent
Excellent location directly on the beach. Very relaxing Some staff were excellent.

New ZealandWould be good to have kayaks and paddle boards. Paying 10 tala for a can of sprite, tonic or coke is steep - even at the airport they were only 5 tala.
Beautiful setting. Great sized rooms with balconies and sea views. Staff were amazing - nothing was too much trouble. Close to airport.

New ZealandA little more attention to detail with the servicing and cleanliness of the rooms - cleaning underneath beds. Air-conditioning units whilst cool, smelt musty. The bathrooms could do with a deep-clean.
Breakfast had a wide range of options including gluten-free. For dinner some options were not available. The pool area, whilst functional, could do with some maintenance. As the pool area was often quite busy, to have staff on hand to take orders for food and beverages would have been a nice touch.

New ZealandDuring our 4-night stay, the power in my elderly father's room kept cutting out. His room was located at the far end of the resort, near the gym, which made it difficult to access assistance. Each time the power went out—sometimes as often as twice a day—we had to walk all the way back to reception to report the issue. This was particularly inconvenient and unsafe, especially when it happened in the early morning while he was showering, or late at night when we were returning from dinner in complete darkness. Despite raising the issue multiple times, the problem persisted throughout our stay.
The breakfast buffet was great and the serving staff - AMAZING! Dinner and the pool - EXCELLENT
