Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaA rather boring continental breakfast. Small patio with little privacy. It is hard to swim at the beach because of the rocks and coral. It is very shallow and not possible to swim at low tide. No air conditioning but not needed in the cooler months. No TV if that’s important. The restaurant food was just Ok.
It is right on the beach with the restaurant and pool facing the water. Reef shoes are a must for swimming here and swimming only possible at high tide. No kids was a bonus. Surfing on the reef is possible on the right tide.

AustraliaWhilst the bathroom was great, loved the bali style, there are a few little things that need attention. Eg tiles on vanity need re-grouting. Things definitely run on island time, not that this is an issue, but be prepared
Lovely setting, cute villas. Good food. We had a relaxing break and would come back again

AustraliaThe reception staff could definitely be more helpful. They answered your questions, but never quite gave you enough information. It was frustrating at points to have to try figure things out on our own. There was often a longish wait for drinks, especially during happy hour with only one bar staff member on most of the time. More bar staff would make a difference. WiFi only in the common area but this didn’t really bother us too much.
We had a great stay at this hotel. Location was great and the beach out the front is amazing. We even seen a turtle and star fish. Was great that the hotel had reef shoes, snorkels and kayaks that you could use. The huts are so cute! We were worried about no air con, but we didn’t need to. The rooms are well ventilated and have fans and it didn’t bother us at all. The gardens at the hotel are stunning and we enjoyed the pool and meals at the hotel.

AustraliaBreakfast wasn’t great, massage wasn’t great, need a limit on how long people can reserve chairs for with towels. Some chairs sat there for hours just with towels and no one using them. Staff were friendly, rooms were lovely and cleaning was great. A bit of maintenance happening while we were there making the toilets in the common areas unusable.

AustraliaThe accommodation huts are way too close to each other- we heard every word of the arguments from one side and the conversations from the other hut next to ours. The communal shower near the pool didn't work- a few people were told it was serviceable and were relying on it to shower off the beach before the evening flights out.

AustraliaFood is average and getting decent GF food is challenging, staff need a bit of more training on understanding of various dietary requirements. Noise is probably the biggest problem in this property. Sound insulation does not exist at all as part of the wall is simply insect net, so you'll hear every step or whisper from outside. Silence on late hours is not enforced and we had to go and chat to security late at night to resolve noise issues from other guests on several occasions. On one night, there was a party at resort which ended only after 10PM, so be aware if you're after quite place. Security regularly patrol the resort at night which adds to the safety, but unpleasant part of it that they walk with torches and often point their torches to bungalow windows, or they may start listening music while walking (probably to keep themsels awake) - look above for non-existent sound insulation.
Good people working there, especially front desk staff - always happy to help and support. Decent beachfront with a lot of sea life despite huge amount of dead corals. Safe. Good location, not to far from the town and not too close at the same time.

AustraliaThere were a few activities listed, provided by the resort, that we would've liked to join/attend, but no staff showed up at the supposed meeting point.
Perfect place, could spend the day between the pool, the beach and the bean bags. Bonus if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing scenery (adults only).

AustraliaAlthough it didn’t bother us, the shutters in each bungalow remain open so it wasn’t entirely private. We also went out on a day trip and came back to find our fan had been changed and reinstalled however nobody had told us about maintenance in our room. We would have neatened our belongings and closed our suitcase had we known. Overall we have no complaints!
We had a wonderful stay at Breakas, the moment we walked in we were greeted with a drink and shell necklace. We were lucky enough to see turtles and dugongs right off the beach. Great pool, great food and wonderful staff. Special thanks to Ernest and Ferby especially. We snorkelled off the beach, however the currents were strong so not for beginners.
