Nothing we loved our stay here

Extremely friendly and welcoming host, told us a lot of information of things to see and good food places to eat. Beds were comfy and room size was okay. Location is spot on to walk to all the major sights of the city. And incredible street food just around the corner. Free water refills also.

Everything is a little tight space-wise, which is to be expected due to the central location.

Very friendly owner, gave us tips of where to go in the city. We also booked tours through the hotel and those were nice and good value. Location is central. Good price.

Vy was so helpful, my first impressions coming down a semi lit alley were dubious but vy sent very clear detailed instructions to find her and it was less than 1 min from the main road - Vy had printed a map that she had highlighted of all the main places to see, to eat and recommended massage places which was over and above what any other guest houses / hotels I stayed at for the course of my 3 weeks travelling from south to north of Vietnam had offered - even as far as advice on what to purchase if you get a tummy bug, details/advice were provided on what taxi’s, grab - what to get and what not to get which was actually so important as I did have a very bad experience so make sure the grab you order is indeed the grab you ordered as many will pretend they are your grab and then try and extort more money! So it’s vital you check their licence plate!!!! She also provided details on catching the bus from the airport which was super cheap and the drop off is close by, (I’d only catch one if I had carry on luggage). She also provided details on tours you could do which made it way less mind boggling as there are sooo many tour companies and to be honest the tour group she organised knew exactly where to come to collect and drop you off and we’re in fact cheaper. There is a 7 eleven superette 3 mins away, an atm next door on the main road, and buin vien st for the party goers that was close enough but also not that close to hear any of it so it was quiet. She helped lug my luggage up and down the stairs (super woman) and yes there are stairs so definitely not for anyone on crutches/wheelchair etc. The room was just what I needed at a cheap price in a great location and was such a good base on my arrival and departure to Vietnam, I stayed for 3 nights on different occasions and would do so again - Vy kept my checked luggage for free while I travelled around which was simply amazing and it allowed me to travel without encumbrance.

It was in a great location being walking distance to everything yet quiet. Vy was great to talk to and very helpful with any questions. It was clean and comfortable at a great price.

The alley way into the hostel made me a little nervous however everybody lives and works there, it's cleaned often, the same faces to say good morning to each day so I felt more and more comfortable each day.

The property was central, has security, and beautiful family looking after you. I had everything I needed and the value of the accommodation was great. Coffee just outside alley on main streets, food and ATMs everywhere. Super clean room. Aircon and shower & toilet. Quiet also in this busy city.

It's on the small side, fairly basic but as a budget solo traveller that's what I expected.

A quiet laneway location close to Bui Vien walking street, bars, restaurants, convenience stores and a park! Clean, comfortable and best of all it's cheap. The host Vy is lovely and helpful.

Location, I could walk to most locations, vy my host was amazing!! Gave me a map of activities and food, things to see, important info, tips etc - couldn’t be more helpful, and was able to leave my checked luggage with her also

Amazing location close to many of the sights and sounds of Ho Chi Mihn. Room was clean with good a/c and fridge. Bed quite comfy. Miss Vy, as others have noted was friendly and very informative about places to visit and transportation. A really good experience!

We had a wonderful stay! Ms. Vy was incredibly accommodating and welcoming from the start. Despite our early morning arrival, her staff kindly waited for us to arrive and made sure we felt at home. Ms. Vy went above and beyond by providing us with a city map marked with her personal recommendations, which helped us explore the area with ease. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, the room was spacious, and the bed was soft and very comfortable. We especially appreciated that there is hot water in the shower.

Clean, simple and very close to most things in district 1! The host is very friendly and helpful, as others has written she shows a very detailed map and give recommendations in the area which is awesome :)

I really enjoyed my stay at Ms. Vy's place. She gave me great tips on what to see and eat in HCMC. The guesthouse was welcoming and my room was spotless. I have no complaints! And I definitely recommend it.

The rooms are a tiny bit small.

Ms Vy is genuinely a very kind woman who wants to help make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. She immediately offers to help you if you are need anything and she will go out of her way to make your stay wonderful. The accommodations are very clean, though rooms are a bit small, but nothing beats staying in the heart of Saigon, surrounded by local people going about their daily lives. I really enjoyed talking to Ms Vy and hearing about her life and the history of her family in Vietnam. One morning she showed us to an incredible breakfast place that was brimming with local people. This place has probably never made it onto the tourist circuit and yet it was better than most places we ate during our stay in Saigon.
