Beautiful cabin with spacious balcony and bathroom. Nice deck area to relax. Beautiful meals. Good variety of excursions. Cruise company provide a very comfortable and reliable transfer between Hanoi and the dock which I would highly recommend. All staff very friendly and professional.

Great size boat for about 40 people.5 star for rooms staff and food which was incredible.Very organised with several trips each day.We did the 3 day, 2 night trip which was really worthwhile as we went to another much quieter bay and visited a pearl farm. Thank you to all the amazing staff.An incredible 3 days and 2 nights. The food was superb.Thanks to the chef.

Itinerary of Route 2 is overcrowded with visitors, not the company's fault, but is part of the experience.

Classic style ship well maintained and nice, rooms and bathroom are elegant and functional, very satisfied. Food was surprisingly tasty, served with care and enough quantity. Staff is very friendly, welcoming and inform about activities duly. Not a party boat, even if happy hour (3x2) is so promoted

You get every day one bottle If water. Apart from that you have to pay for water. The water dispenser (for free) didn't work. So it might be a good idea you bring a bottle If water.

The staff, the food and the Location was fabulous. They organize transport from/ to Hanoi or other places like Ninh Binh. I absolutely recommend the 2 night/3 day Trip as the second day was the best. If you stay two nights you will do something different from the guests staying only one night.

Not sure if it was just missed or because we used booking.com but there was no communication prior to the cruise other than that we needed to arrive at the cruise terminal. I had even messaged to clarify something and still, no arrival details given. At the terminal when you arrive, there are people everywhere (especially on a weekend) and no signage for this company. It makes it almost impossible to find the cruise. A lot of the spots visited are also very crowded but that’s the same no matter what cruise you do.

The cruise was good - room comfortable, friendly staff, nice food.

To be picky, the pearl farm was a bit boring, and tourism is ruining the area. I actually felt a little bad contributing to it myself..

I would recommend doing the 2 nights if you have time, as you see way more. Rooms are nice, slightly dated but still great. Sitting on the balcony enjoying the views while cruising along was amazing. Staff are awesome, and Tuu, in particular, was super helpful and friendly. Food is amazing, different each night, and you won't go hungry. It caters to couples, groups, and families rather than solo travellers, but I was still looked after. The itinerary is quite full, and all of the activities on the tour were good fun. Kayaking was the highlight for me, as well as the view from the top of one of the islands. Just be aware that it can be extremely busy on the mini excursions, as every cruise and day boat tour operators go to the same places. If you do a 2 night cruise, you get transferred to a day boat on the second day where you go further out into the bay, then you arrive back at the boat around 3pm. Might want to think about that if you were hoping to just relax on the boat.

We did 2 nights, 1 full day and 2 half a days. The full day everybody got sent to a much smaller boat to go on and from there do some activities, it was a very boring day. Absolutely boring. Most of the time on this day we had to sit and wait. The food that was served on this boat was terrible. We are vegetarians and the first thing we got served was a big plate of deep-fried vegetarian snacks. Most of the time vegetarians are more mindful of what they put in their bodies and they make healthier food choices, deep-fried snacks are not healthy and definitely not a good alternative to meat. Then also, the actual distance you ‘cruise’ on this trip is shockingly little. You don’t get to see much of Ha Long Bay at all. The cruise ship is more anchored then not, we were guessing to safe fuel. The amount of boats in this area of Ha Long Bay is only confirming that observation of tourists being milked. The little beach that we were brought to to swim was swarming with people. It is that crowded that you can plunge in the water, not swim. The people next to us in the water took off their baby’s nappy and threw it in the water while all laughing about their stupid, ignorant and filthy action.

The room and balcony were great; comfy bed, roomy bathroom, relaxing balcony with great view and tasteful and classy overal design of the room. The Asian Fusion Cuisine on the cruise was great.

We’re stay in the President room for 3 days and 2 night, the view was amazing, the room was clean and beautiful, the jacuzzi was awesome. Foods on board were fancy and delicious. the staffs were really nice, friendly and super helpful especially Jimmy and Andre.

The food! As a vegetarian they went above and beyond to give me quality and wide variety of food. The service.. everyone on board is so helpful and kind. The best people. Jimmy was a great host and Jack was the best waiter that kept us well fed. Sustainability.. they had a water refill station so please bring a water bottle and help keep Vietnam clean and beautiful.

Getting from Port to Boat is a bit hectic. Instructions weren't 100% clear and there are so many people coming and going. It's sad to see the amount of pollution in the water and air (out of control from the company) but it took away from the experience a little.

Booked a Junior suite and got upgraded to the Presidential suite which was amazing! Lots of space for 2 adults, 3yo and 7 month old. Boat service was excellent and they were very helpful. The boat and room itself was nice and comfortable. Everything was well communicated and organised. Really enjoyed our cruise and walking up to the peaceful silence on ha long bay.

There was very little public space, places to sit and chill, just a few chairs in the bar area. The weather was fine (March) but not quite warm enough to sit on the top deck and the cabin, though pretty luxurious for a boat, was a little cramped, with nowhere to stow your luggage and quite an uncomfortable bed. I was relieved to move on to our next destination.

The boat was pleasant enough, as were the staff. And the scenery is spectacular, a must-see for any traveller.

I absolutely loved my experience at Victory Star Cruise. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and happiness throughout my stay. Our tour guide, Two, was incredibly knowledgeable about the sights we visited and readily answered all my questions. The suite I stayed in, Suite 1, was incredibly spacious and featured a luxurious ensuite with a bathtub, offering breathtaking views of Halong Bay. The bathroom was stocked with toiletries, and the shower provided both hot and cold options, working flawlessly. The culinary experience was exceptional, with lunch and dinner served in an elegant fine dining style. As for breakfast, it was a delightful buffet or brunch affair, featuring a tantalizing blend of international and Vietnamese cuisine that left me thoroughly satisfied. Overall, my time aboard Victory Star Cruise was nothing short of extraordinary, and I can't wait to return.

Some people were very noisy. Cruise staff should ask customers to sign a behavior manners code letter before arrival at deck ship. Not everyone is taking into consideration that a ship is not exactly a big hotel but more like a boutique hotel, so rules must be more exigent for everyone

Everything was perfect!

We had an amazing stay on Victory Star cruises. The cruise manager and all the staff took great care of everybody from start to finish. They upgraded us to the president suite for our honeymoon and it was amazing. All the food was great and the schedule was brilliant. Would recommend going with victory star for your cruise!

We didn’t realise (and it isn’t communicated) that both the 1 night stays and 2 night stays are on the same boat so in the morning those who are staying an additional night (which is not many) are all taken to a separate day boat for day excursions while the other passengers are returned to the cruise terminal. This was not ideal for us with our 9 month old but the day boat were really accommodating, letting our daughter sleep in the captains cabin. This also meant that both nights we were anchored in the same spot. Not all 2 night cruises operate in this way but many do so it’s worth finding out beforehand.

The rooms were great and the staff were so accommodating especially with us having our 9 month old with us. They made sure she had food and allowed us to eat early. The staff also spent a lot of time entertaining our daughter. Obviously Ha Long Bay is also very beautifully.
