How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

A lot of ants in the room and no fan in the bathroom so we had to keep the door constantly closed to avoid extra humidity. The beds were very hard. The ac was not strong even with an extra fan in the room. A child got sick in the pool, we were not informed of this and I did not witness them cleaning the pool after the internet
Such a close walk to the centre. Staff helped us organise multiple taxis, collecting us and dropping us to the airport. Very spacious room.

The breakfast was tasty but a bit small in portion. Also, only some members of the host family spoke English, which made communication a little difficult at times.
The location was perfect, just outside the busy city center but still close enough to reach everything easily. The room was a great size for two people and had air conditioning, which was ideal for the warm weather. The host family was very kind and welcoming.

Aircon leaked a bit but wasn’t too much of a problem :)
Great location, very friendly & helpful family running the home stay. Also served the best pancakes we’ve ever had & it was included in the price :D

We were unfortunate to sleep next to a bunch of very loud chickens (who have no sense of time either). So bring earplugs. The aircon seemed a bit moldy and the bathroom could use a better ventilator.
Lovely staff, they want to be very helpful. Our bed was comfortable & the shower had amazing water pressure + steamy hot!!! There are free bikes to use (although some of them could use a little bit of repair on the breaks). We especially loved the fried egg for breakfast, very tasty.

Slight musty smell in the bathroom but did not spread into bedroom.
Lovely staff, very friendly and happy to help you. Free to use bikes to get around Hoi An. Nicely located in a quiet street, 15-20min walk to Old town with restaurants and bars. Laundry good price per kilo. Nice pool and outdoor space to relax in outside of the bedroom. Bedrooms big and roomy. Good breakfast selection with complimentary tea, coffee and water!

The room had a small window next to a chicken coop, which didn’t really ventilate the room. This made the room a bit damp and smelly after a shower. We opened the door to the corridor often to ventilate the room. So a ventilation system in the bathroom would be a great improvement!
The room was very big and the location of the homestay is great. Just a 15 minute walk to old quarter. Maii was gave us some great recommendations for dinner and a tailor and every day we got two free bottles of cold water.

Large property in a quiet spot that’s not too far from Hoi An Old town. Free bikes to hire to make getting around easier. Helpful staff and lovely pool. Rooms are huge too!

Our room was big, clean and warm. We had a hot shower and it only took us a few minutes to get to the old town of Hoi An. Staff were friendly and helpful i.e. helped us with our bus tickets to Hue.

Nothing. I loved it all.
The room was large, clean and comfortable. plenty of towels and changed regularly. Aĺ toiletries supplied and kettle, fridge and hair drier. mUnfortunately couldn't make use of the pool.as.it was raining Breakfast was really good. Choice of fruit and yoghurt and Eggs served on a spicy sauce dish. Bikes for use and Yan helped with tours. The staff were lovely 😍

Everything was just perfect!
Great breakfast, lots of choice. Brilliant clean pool - large spacious bedroom. Good internet and the staff felt like family and were so helpful. Liked the nail bar had a great manicure there. Brilliant communication and helped arranged transportation. Would definitely stay there again.

Room smelled damp with little natural light. Toilet paper bin not emptied for our 3 day stay. No coffee at breakfast!
Great value for money, quiet location very close to the old town. Helpful attentive staff, offered to book things for us at slightly below market rates. Breakfast included with tea, juice and menu selection. Free pushbike rental!

Toilet facility is very dirty and badly kept. it’s a shame, because it would take so little to make it a 5 stars stay.
Great home stay with fantastic host. They really want to get to know you and you feel very welcomed. We went for private room, it was very big and bed very comfortable. Good selection of breakfast and it gets freshly cooked for you every morning. WiFi connection is one of the best we had in entire South East Asia
