Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HungaryPeaceful oasis located between the beach and the oldtown. We had a really nice room for our honeymoon and the staff was super nice also. Breakfast is great, there are bikes to use for free.

AustraliaBreakfast was a-la-carte and a bit limited, although we understand that a buffet breakfast in a smaller hotel would be problematic. It was a fair walk into Hoi An and An Bang beach along pretty hectic roads. Best to use one of the free bikes, hire a scooter (if you have the balls for it) or get a grab from the end of the road. Shower tended to flood the whole bathroom.
Smaller boutique style hotel on the vegetable village island. Great pool area and good temperature, but make sure you wear footwear if visiting in the mid-afternoon as the pool surrounds were blisteringly hot. We were able to get drinks from the bar/restaurant while poolside. Staff always came out to us with towels. Beautiful view over the little lake and river lagoon from our room. No noise heard from other guests.

AustriaWe had a truly wonderful stay at Tra Que Mansion! The accommodation was absolutely fantastic – everything was spotlessly clean, and our room was spacious, comfortable, and had the most beautiful view of the lake. The staff were incredibly kind and always ready to help. They supported us with planning activities around Hoi An, gave great local tips, and even offered free bicycles which made exploring the area so easy and fun. The atmosphere of the place was peaceful and welcoming – we felt right at home from the very first moment. We can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting Hoi An. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip, and we’re so grateful for the experience!

United KingdomThey upgraded my room to a lake view when I arrived, and the room was incredible - really spacious, so clean, even had a bathtub. The only problem was that the bath water ran cold, otherwise I have absolutely no complaints. Staff were so kind and friendly. Views of the lake were wonderful and the pool was brilliant.

United KingdomWe had an amazing stay! The staff were all lovely—special thanks to Sarah who went above and beyond. They even let us use an empty room as a workspace, which was a huge help. The location is quiet and peaceful, near a beautiful vegetable garden, with a great coffee shop and restaurant nearby. Just a short ride to the beach and old town. Mua Restaurant, attached to the hotel, was absolutely spectacular. Would definitely stay again!

FrancePool water a bit too warm. The AC units should be cleaned regularly. The unit in our room was smelling like mold. It is a simple task to clean the filters and the AC unit to avoid this.
Very nice hôtel, not very far from the beach or the city. The place is quiet and the staff are very nice. The room was spacious and clean. The bed is big and the bathroom is big also with a tub and shower. Outside, the garden and the environment is very clean and well managed with flowers and coconut trees. The pool its nice but the water it's a bit warm. It was a relaxing stay and we enjoyed our 4 night there.

Pool was beautiful and warm, got upgraded to a better room which was fantastic. View was great and rooms a very good size. Comfortable bed, nice shower, bath and mini bar. Really nice relaxed atmosphere, definitely a great pick if you want something in between the beach and the Old Town that's secluded from all the noise. I would definitely stay here again, it was perfect!

FranceMold in the room, on the mattress and pillows. Dark room. Not great condition especially the bathroom and bathtub. Water wasn't hot sometimes. Saw someone from the staff hit a dog, why? Free bicycles but can't keep them for a few days, have to ask every day even if there seems to be enough bikes. Staff is always here, like there is no privacy, can't even use the kitchen to heat something in the microwave without them being around and doing it for you. It could be a good thing but it was a bit too much. I'm not a kid. In the end of the stay they were renovating, a lot of noise.
Amazing location in tra que, can go to tra que gardens by foot. Free bicycles. Great lake & lake view. Very quiet. Nice pool. Quiet neighborhood. Good price. Staff was nice.

It’s a bit out of town, which we loved as it’s peaceful and lets you relax. tra que is such a lush garden village and it’s just lovely to be in this environment. you also have 2 cafes in walking distance.

Everything was over the top! The room is spacious clean and beautiful, especially with the lake view on the balcony. Staff is super helpful, Sarah helped us getting tickets for the Hoi an memory show which was very convenient. Bicycles are available to go to the city center which is very near while you are nestled in a quiet and beautifully green environment. The hotel also has a gastronomic restaurant, Mua, which is absolutely amazing. I would 100% recommend this place to stay in Hoi an

Review of Tra Que Mansion – The Perfect Stay for Hoi An Tra Que Mansion was, without a doubt, the best accommodation we stayed at during our month-long trip through Vietnam. Its location is ideal—perfectly situated between the bustling streets of Hoi An and the relaxing An Bang Beach. For us, it was simply the perfect spot. The high-end mansion itself is stunning and newly built, featuring well-designed rooms with a lovely balcony, a spacious bathtub, and a great shower. Everything is meticulously maintained and finished to a high standard. The pool area is a real highlight, offering a refreshing escape, and the breakfast selection is excellent—everything we tried was delicious. Beyond the high-quality facilities, what truly set Tra Que Mansion apart was the outstanding service. The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile. Their hospitality made our stay even more special. If you’re looking for a peaceful yet well-located stay near Hoi An, with top-notch amenities and fantastic service, Tra Que Mansion is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!

AustraliaThe accommodation is near a lagoon and lots of plants. So you’re going to get some wildlife. Staff were very helpful catching some harmless lizards in the room. Quite a fun experience to watch. With the amount of rain that happens, there was a mould issue in the curtains. They were taken down and cleaned quickly. So all part of the travelling experience. On saying this would definitely stay again.
Location was great. In between the old city and beach. Near vegetable village which is a tourist attraction. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast great. Bikes were a bit dodgy but still worked. Room was spacious.

United KingdomNot a dislike but be aware that the property is down quite a narrow road and some Grab drivers didn’t want drive all the way down so on occasion it was a few minutes to walk for a taxi. The chairs by the pool could probably do with an update- the loungers were wood and felt a bit flimsy but very comfy cushions!
We loved our stay here. The room was perfect- huge beds and mega comfy. Good air con/ good bathroom facilities/ nice pool. Away from the hustle and bustle of Hoi An. Staff were lovely and we would definitely be back!

United Arab EmiratesOur first room had a pungent smell, but the staff quickly arranged a different room for our second night, which was much better. However, there was still a slight moldy smell in the room. I’m not sure if this is due to the weather or if the property is just a bit aged.
Tra Que Mansions is in a great location—peaceful and surrounded by greenery, yet just a short bike ride from Hoi An’s Old Town. The rooms are spacious and clean, with nice views of the gardens and rice fields. Overall, a good option for those looking for a quiet stay outside the busy center. A small suggestion: It would be safer if the bicycles provided had lights, especially for riding back in the evening.
