We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

South AfricaThere is construction on a new building just outside of the balcony. We got woken up at 6am because of how loud it was.
The bed was very comfortable and soft. The room was very clean and staff was helpful.

ThailandIn right hands this hotel & building itself has a huge potential to be a great hotel, but nobody cares. Very dirty rooms, mold all over the walls, not very safe - our room was tried twice. The building in front of the hotel starts at 6am even on weekends. Terrible hall and reception, staff does not speak English. From the blankets - only a duvet. We asked for another blanket, because the air conditioner was very strong - stuff brought a similar, thin blanket. No elevator, paint is falling off the walls, toilet smells of sewer, balcony all dusty. This is the worst hotel I’ve stayed at and was happy to leave.

United Kingdomthe lobby/hallway was run down and need to be cleaner and refurbished, very dirty & worn carpets, plus rubbish left on stairs landing. no elevator with steep stairs. we thought staying further out of the old quarter it would be quieter, but unfortunately there was a construction site right next to the hotel which started early morning til late afternoon/early evening. plus karaoke bar nearby that would finish around 10pm on some evenings. it needed better cleaning and improvements needed, plus some areas of the hotel had an unpleasant smell.
the room itself was fine, we thought the bed was comfortable and it had a hot shower and functioning toilet as well as a fridge and snacks that could be purchased. we didn’t have too much communication with the staff, they were helpful at letting us store our bags until we left. we did get house keeping done which we wasn’t expecting so that was nice. the price was reasonable but could’ve been better considering the location.

VietnamThis place is old and smells like an abandon fridge. The balcony is not even close to the pictures. It’s too dusty and has no chairs or tables. So if you’re thinking about booking this place for the balcony, you’ll be disappointed. The stairs are covered in a ripped old carpet which is so disgusting. But it’s not the worst part yet. This place is close to a construction site so we could barely sleep at night due to the noise. Not mention the fact that the laundry room where they wash the sheets is dirty as well. With this price, you can find much better places in HN
