The beach is accessible from property but the local authorities have not developed the beach, it needs cleaning, you can enjoy but does not have amenities of a proper beach resort like relaxing chairs etc. You need to travel through local fishing village and narrow roads, no brilliant eating places near by but you can order via Grab food app.or catch a taxi to eating places.

The Poplar resort is a beach front resort and it is a central location to both north and south trips of PhuQuoc. The rooms are clean and has good facilities, if needed there is a general kitchen. The host is very helpful person, always present in the reception and helps in all aspects of the trip. He is very attentive and answers all calls, even with a whatsapp message he is there at your room to help. He has good idea about the local trips and how to organise. The beach is 20 meters from the property. Also the resort good for short stay, also there are plenty of shops in 100 meters to buy groceries, fruits etc,

The resort owner is very helpful and speaks Chinese which help. I was given a room at level 1 and nearest to the reception and the room sound proofing is not really good so can hear voices during the rest hours. After all this resort is near to many local food places and only about 30mins drive from the airport so I would consider it is worth staying given the price. Do note that the beach in front of the resort is not meant for swimming though.

Pleasant accommodation right on the beach. The great and helpful owner arranged for a neighbor with a motorcycle, who drove me around the entire island. Every morning, the owner planned a day trip with me, called the neighbor with the motorcycle, and off we went. It was really great.

First of all, this hotel was quite an affordable and it was worth every penny I spent on it. It's in the Duong Dong, which is the central district of the island. Nice beach view, cheap markets around, and the owner/manager of this hotel was very hospitable and helpful man. I enjoyed my stay at Poplar Resort very much

This small hotel deserves an extra point for its location, it is located at the local market. Every morning until evening you can attend the market, buy fresh fish, drink coffee, try various soups, have breakfast, and eat Vietnamese food - a paradise for those who love taking photos and videos. In the morning it is very nice to see the fishermen arrive on the beach. It takes 15 minutes on foot to reach the more touristy area or simply call a Grab taxi. Near the hotel there is also a supermarket, pharmacy, hairdresser, and massage. the place is highly safe and the owner is very friendly. For those who want a more local vacation rather than a touristy one, I recommend this place!

Most things are a little bit further than walking distance, given the heat in Phu Quoc, so be aware that most places are a taxi drive away. Again Hien is more than happy to help his guests booking them.

Absolutely great little hotel, Hien, his family and staff are lovey and go above and beyond for all of their guests. The bedrooms are large and very comfortable and most have beautiful views of the sea.
