Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TaiwanWhile it's a bit out of town, it gave my family plenty of space to enjoy the beach and sunshine. We had excellent facilities and food, and the staff provided excellent service. We would definitely stay here again.

GermanyWe had a wonderful stay at Mikazuki Hotel. The staff is outstanding — very friendly, attentive, and professional. The hotel itself is big, very clean, and offers a high-class atmosphere. The restaurants are elegant and of good quality, though on the pricier side. The only aspect that surprised us was that the big dragon water slides were not accessible for our two boys. This information was not easy to find beforehand, and since the slides were an important reason for us choosing the hotel, it was a bit of a disappointment. However, the hotel team took my feedback very seriously and even discussed with me how this information could be made clearer on booking sites in the future. I truly appreciated that openness and willingness to improve. Overall, an excellent hotel with great service — just worth being aware of the water slide policy if you’re traveling with kids. Another aspect to consider is that the resort is situated away from the city center and My Khe beach, in case this aspect is importantly to you.

A quite large facilities with a hefty number of pools 🤣 it turned out really well for us as we arrived during a bit of gloomy and rainy days which didnt matter at all thanks to all the pools and water park and other entertainment facilities for both grown ups and kids. Our kids are in love with all the pools. Their beach club is super nice.

JapanI was asked to make payment in advance through a payment link in order to keep my reservation, which was different from the explanation I got from booking.com. I had already registered my credit card in booking.com to secure my stay. It was unpleasant customer experience. Also, the Mikazuki staff explained that the payment link is more secure than booking.com, which did not make sense. Booking.com uses secure system, and using a payment link is no better than the booking.com system. I felt that Mikazuki was making wrong statement about security, and using security as an excuse to use the payment link. This is not a good customer experience to be honest.
The Nami pool and roof-top pool were amazing! The waterpark was very useful when it rained outside. Great for families with kids.

United KingdomIt's a bit far from the centre but we didn't bother going out much. We mainly stayed at the resort and spent loads of time playing at the waterpark, water slides, onsen, etc. The resort could have noted the size of the beds in the booking site as we didn't know that our group (two adults and two young children) could fit in their extra large bed so we ended up book a room with an enormous double bed (I think its width is around 2 meters) plus two large single beds. So the room and the 3 beds become quite big for 4 of us. Another thing I don't like is the restriction regarding the weight of the children at the waterpark. I think a child should be allowed to go with an adult in the dragon slide if weighed from 20 kgs and height from 120cm instead of 30kgs. If the child goes on their own, then 30kgs could be applicable and makes sense. But going with an adult in a double float and still requires a child to be from 30kgs is a bit strict and doesn't make sense to me. If an adult can go alone on their own, then a child joining in front should be okay for both of them too. The waterpark area could also arrange more floats for customers and the lazy lagoon, swimming pool with beach waves area depending on the season as they sometimes ran out of floats and we had to wait for long time to find the available floats. Also I wonder whether the resort could make some extra benefits for guests staying such as allow the waterpark to open slightly earlier or later for guests stay at the hotel because the waterpark could become quite crowded when opened for all the public. Or they could restrict the overall daily number of participants if the waterparks meet their capacity. Another suggestion is the resort could arrange some kayaking or other beach activities for guests at the beach nearby as we find that we make use of the waterparks more than the beach.
We like the decoration, Japanese vibes throughout the resort, from the restaurants, lobby, to the restroom, bedrooms, spa, onsen, swimming pool and waterpark. The resort brings the Japanese touch in the artistic ways. The staff are all well trained. They act friendly and respectfully while we were there. The room where we stayed has great view over the ocean and when we got up early, we managed to see the sunrise from our balcony which was blissful. The onsen was a bonus as I used it everyday while I was there and I liked it very much. I used both the private onsen and public onsen. The foods were nice too. A bit pricey though.

AustraliaI paid extra to include the kids water park in our trip but they didn’t mention the height and weight restriction for the slides. Either 140cm and at least 40kgs. My 6 and 8 year olds therefore couldn’t use the rides. Not even with an adult. Prices at the convenience store were a bit high and you couldn’t bring outside food into the resort.
We met the supervisor on our last night - Tam was fantastic. It was a shame we hadn’t met her sooner as she was exceptional. Our villa was lovely and the rooftop infinity pool and bar also excellent. The Japanese restaurants were both fantastic.
