Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaProbably needs some money put into the building and room as things have worn or are getting old. Hard ask though. Some broken thing/marks/mould/ants. Kinda suited a down to earth Aussie couple pretty well through.
The place was full of character, the pool was really nice and we loved the location. Really comfortable vibe for us, not crazy busy and fairly low key folks.

We loved how close this property was to the centre of Hoi A but far enough to be away from the noise. The huge swimming pool was also a bonus

IsraelThe room was spacious and comfortable, with a layout that allowed for a relaxing stay. However, a major downside was the unpleasant odor that permeated not only the room but the hotel in general. It was a musty smell, reminiscent of dampness or mold, which did not dissipate even after opening windows or running the air conditioning. Unfortunately, this significantly impacted the overall experience and comfort of the stay.

AustraliaInitially our room was a bit smelly due to an issue with aircon but they resolved the issue by moving us and we had 5 wonderful days in a perfect room.

AustraliaKaraoke very loud from the edge of old town. The motel had no control over this so it is not under their control. 2 night in 7 this has to be expected.
The staff were exceptional. They surpassed expectations. The breakfast was average for a western visitor, designed for the Chinese market I think. The location was great. You would not want to be any closer to the Old Town if you like a quiet night. We would stay again.

United KingdomThe patio doors don't keep the noise out well and staff seem reluctant to empty bins
Room was massive, bathroom amazing. Great pool and loads of choice at breakfast. It's in a great location on the river, not far from boats and restaurants.

United KingdomWe stayed in 2 separate rooms (1 room for 2 nights and another for 3) because our plans changed and we arrived at Hoi An early. However 1st room had a very musty smell which after a while you get used to but hits you on entering the room. We tolerated it because everything else was ok. This was 3rd floor , facing the town. The room we had after, facing pool was perfect. The bar area could do with a little bit of pep talk, as it was quiet, a little tired and not always staff around. WiFi was rather hit and miss unless in reception. Overall, these are minor points and our stay was great.
Excellent location right next to old town and by the river. Hotel itself very pleasant with lovely pool area, and the staff all very attentive and helpful. Beds are amazing.....so large and comfortable. Housekeeping staff created elephants and pigs from towels which we found delightful and clever. Breakfast moe than satisfactory.

United KingdomStayed here a year ago and loved it, but felt breakfast choice had gone back. I arrived on New Year’s Eve and disco music was pounding out from nearby hotels from 5 pm when I just needed some rest. It was the only night this happens apparently. No soap provided in the handbasins, you had to carry/transfer it from the shower if you simply wanted to wash your hands… unbelievable!
Very good central location on the main riverside. Very helpful staff, very spacious rooms.

AustraliaThe rooms were quite dirty, especially the bathroom. Unfortunately there was no chance of having a bath. The glass had not been cleaned at all. The bin had grime and lotion on it. Mould in the sink. The breakfast was disappointing. The fresh fruit and cereal was fine. The juice wasn't cold. All the other food was warm not hot. luke warm baked beans, sausage, etc There is an egg station, but they didn't seem to cook the eggs enough, even when I asked for well done. I was afraid of getting sick so we didn't have breakfast there after the first morning.
It was our return visit to this hotel, with extremely fond family memories. We were here in 2017. We love the location and views of the river. The rooms are spacious with excellent balcony. The hotel has been repainted and is in the process of more painting. The pool area is lovely too. The staff were helpful and friendly and booked us a taxi to our next destination.

AustraliaThe shower was not designed very well.
The location was on the river very close to the Old Quarter. The hotel rooms were spacious, the bed was very comfortable, our room had a balcony so it was nice to sit there in the afternoon. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of places to eat in close proximity to the Hotel.

AustraliaI stayed here 10 years ago and had a great stay, so it seemed logical to stay here again. However, it's showing 10 years worth of age and use, and just feels a little...run-down. The bathroom particularly was looking quite grubby, and the roll-down shower screen was mouldy and a bit gross. Without it though, water would get everywhere. Towels were a little thin. A small thing - the umbrellas we used were all stuffed in some way. No fault of the hotel, but Hoi An has changed a lot in 10 years, and not for the better. The quaint and charming place it once was is now a thing of the past unfortunately.
The room was sizeable, the bed comfortable (very comfortable) and the staff generally friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was nice, always good seats and plenty of choice. Location is good, in a quiet spot about 10 mins walk to the Old Town area.
