We did do the 3days/2nights tour and probably would not recommend it but rather go for the shorter 2days/1night version. As most people book this sort of trip, the boat barely ever gets filled with people doing the longer trip and returns to the harbour every day to get new people on board. Hence for our second day we got shipped onto another boat for the day and joined the newcomers in the afternoon while they were doing what we did the day before. This was rather unfortunate as the other tour we had to join was a bigger day-tour with a lot of people on board - precisely the sort of thing we were trying to avoid by booking a shorter cruise on a small vessel. We still had a good time but it wasn’t really what we intended. It’s also a bit sad to leave the people you just got to know behind after only one day. I would advise to talk to the agency beforehand and only book the longer trip if you stay with the same people on the same boat for the entire duration.

The boat is absolutely wonderful as is the cruise and the stunning scenery. All the crew are really nice and the activities you do along the way are great fun without feeling overwhelming or rushed. As there’s just five cabins on the boat it is rather quiet and you get to know your fellow travellers. We’ve had a really good time. Also Nam is an excellent guide and an all-round funny guy. We got along with him very well. The food is excellent and the swimming spots are nice. We also had a good time catching squid and preparing fresh sashimi.

We had an amazing experience on the Sunlight Cruise with Nam! He was incredibly kind, fun, and always had a great sense of humor, making the whole trip even more enjoyable. Nam was very attentive and serviceable, always making sure everyone was comfortable and having a good time. His positive energy really made a difference. I highly recommend experiencing the cruise with him — you’re guaranteed to have a wonderful and memorable time!

It's hard to think of anything we didn't enjoy. So, the only thing I didn't like was having to pay for drinking water.

I highly recommend booking the 2 night - 3 day cruise. It was so special, and that extra day is the best! We also really liked that it was a small boat - just five cabins. Overall, the experience was great. The views were incredible, and the activities were fun. The food was delicious and very generous. We had an issue with our cabin, which was quickly fixed, and then we loved it. In fact, the cabin was better than we expected. The staff were great. Very friendly and helpful.

The room 202 has engine smell all through the trip. Dining table was too tight for 13 people. I wish the crew would just clean trash on deck at the end of the day. I would have prefer they cook Vietnamese version of the food rather than European versions. No wifi for us through the whole trip.

LAN ha bay is just incredible beautiful. The tour guide Nam was super helpful. He accommodated my senior parents during activities so they were able to enjoy the trip. They had assorted seafood for dinner.

There’s new people coming and leaving everyday so you have to wait for new groups in the harbour wasting your time. Try to avoid Monkey Island visit, it’s just a little island full of rubbish, no monkeys, they take us there in a very noise little boat with strong petrol smell. Bright Cave is nice but very crowded.

Big room with comfortable bed, nice food variety and quantity. Drinks no included but not extremely expensive. Activities included: love riding bikes and kayaking.
