Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ArgentinaThe mattress was a bit thin and some of the bathroom pipes were leaking, but overall it was great.
The place is located in a central area close to everything. The rooms were very clean and the location was quiet.

I don't usually stay in hostels. This room had a private bathroom and was quite big. The bed was comfy and the AC worked well.

MyanmarJust one thing, there was a building being built in the neighborhood during my stay. The construction started early in the morning which the noise woke me up. Not Siro house’s fault though.
I stayed in the private room for a week which was so comfortable and cozy. The room is clean and comfortable with little area where I enjoy reading and watching the view. The house owner is so nice. She’s always happy to help. The beach is only 10 minutes walk away. There are two or three cafes nearby where provide workspace and best coffee in the town. Overall, it was totally worth it. I would stay there if I go back to Da Nang.

United KingdomTurned ac off 2 hours per day which is ok. But the ac is not sufficient for the room size with 6 plus people. Also it's a family home. So not much privacy. Younger lad just comes into the room when wants.
Family run and family home. Dormitory is ok. Well spread. Air conditioning isn't great but one fan for all the better so expect to get hot at times. Bathroom basic and fairly dirty. Location however is excellent. Good area and close to many things.

United KingdomThey were re making the communal areas so it was a bit messy but it will definitely be looking good once it's done! Owner was apologetic, didn't even bother us that much anyway.
Spacious room, very good location, only short walk to the beach and restaurants. The homestay is on a quite road. Very friendly owner!

United StatesDont laugh this is Just wishful thinking really, but I wish the public areas (Kitchen / Living room) were more Air Conditioned. Of course this isn't practical given the in and out through the front door....and I was beyond comfortable in my Air Conditioned room and beyond grateful for being able to rest and recharge in total comfort in my room. From my perspective this was a very small sacrifice given this budget. Just wishful thinking. Would be back there tomorrow if I could.
This place is simply Value on Crack. You get the most while still on such a low budget. Its an optimized location if you want to be closer to local culture while still in the heart of digital nomad area and directly adjacent to foreignor neighborhood. THe family is so nice and helpful! Exceeded expectation. Would love another chance to stay here. Beyond that when generally doing a home stay type accommodation you have the benefit of meeting travelers wich is a world of goodness unto itself.

Australia1) Mentally-ill Russian man who has a private room on the third storey demanded that I be quiet during the daytime when I was talking to my boss on my phone and sitting on an allocated chair in the hallway. He slammed his door because I refused to accept his rule. I didn't see any sign that says you are not allowed to talk during the day. 2) bed bugs in my bed. 3) sleazy Turkish man from Canada talking about prostitutes in the living room. 4) Front doors wide open so cigarette smoke comes in and causes you to caugh. 5) the cleaner throws all the dirty linen over the balcony without looking to see if it's going to hit anyone, especially if anyone is drinking hot coffee.
Family owned and friendly.

United KingdomFirst homestay in vietnam where the family interact with you as little as possible... Felt estranged and like they didn't really want us there. Not great for asking questions about the area or in general for around the house. Only spoke to me to ask me to pay.
The layout is great. 2 lounge areas one upstairs and one down. A KITCHEN you can use! What a delight. The beds very comfy, curtains, personal cupboard and shelves. They really have attention to detail. Loved being able to use the space Met lots of great people, a wonderful social space. Great locations. 10m to the beach, 20 to the dragon. All within waking for nice tourist spots. Good shower.

IsraelI booked the 6 bed room because I saw its big and has a balcony, but I got the 4 beds room that had only window to inside the house, and the AC wasn't doing much,so it was too warm and not ventilated for me. Room was small also.
Besides that it was good I wanted to just switch rooms but it was booked
