Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

VietnamThe locks for the front door and the washroom door didn't work. I risked keeping valuables in the room but fortunately with the gated security and the low number of people traffic I wasn't extremely worried about theft. However it was an unnecessary worry. Also, during breakfast I went for a coffee refill at 10:02 The staff was very stern that it was past 10, serving time. I understand but they could've said no with a smile.
Very private, quiet and close to the beach. Staff communicated clearly.

SpainThe facilities are great, and the warmth of the staff truly stands out — they always greet us kindly and are happy to accommodate our requests. One of the biggest reasons we returned is the breakfast buffet — we totally love it! We were also so happy to be given connecting rooms with a sea-facing view and direct access to the garden

ThailandImmediately on check-in we were informed that the pool was out of action. It had been for quite some time. As a gesture of goodwill, the hotel offered to cancel our booking for free or provide a voucher to spend during our stay. Cancelling and finding an alternative was not an option at such a late stage – we were not going to waste precious time. We therefore felt pressured into accepting the voucher. Being pre-warned would have been preferable – and less selfish of the hotel – allowing us to make an informed choice rather than a forced one. The hotel levied a surcharge of 3.5% for paying with debit card. Of the 8 hotels we stayed at in Vietnam, this was the ONLY hotel to levy such a surcharge. Furthermore, 3.5% is extortionate compared to the typical 2% charged by the (very) occasional outlet that also levies such a surcharge. And again, no pre-warning.
The staff at the hotel were exceptional – genuinely welcoming, always happy and smiling, and always willing to help. Our beachfront villa was idyllic, with a wonderful beach/sea vista. The room was spacious and well-appointed. As was the bathroom with a great walk-in shower. Housekeeping was very good with fresh bath and beach towels daily. There was a small safety deposit box that, unlike most hotels, was secured in place. However, it was too small for a laptop - not ideal, given most travel with one these days. Buffet breakfast was extensive with fresh eggs/noodles cooked to order. Occasionally, the buffet was replaced by a menu due to low guest count. The Sunrise Restaurant where breakfast is served, was very hot – it could really do with additional floor fans. Sunset drinks at the Sunset Restaurant were a delight, as was dinner that followed. Although beachfront, the beach is protected from the sea for most part by a small rock wall barrier. There is just one small section where one can walk into the sea from the beach. In the main, the beach is sand with some small pebbles. The area where one can walk into the sea is kept more pristine. The hotel is built on a hillside. Hence, moving between the various facilities (reception, restaurants, room, beach) inevitably involves ascending/descending steep slopes (paved) and/or steps. An electric buggy is available on request to transport between the facilities. A few quaint bars/restaurants and local shops are approximately 1.5-2km walk, which Google Maps describes as “mostly flat”. No so. There is a very steep road (paved) to ascend and descend to exit the hotel grounds. There are a few motorbike rentals here too. The hotel is partnered with one, who provide efficient and unassuming service. The hotel is a little off the beaten track, hence somewhat isolated and self-contained.

AustraliaNot a thing not to like about this property.
If you're looking for romance or just to escape from the world, this beautiful hidden gem is for you. We loved the privacy of the Villas set in lush tropical surrounds overlooking the beach! Pay a bit extra for one if you can with a private pool! Great breakfast overlooking the beach, happy hour on the beach with gorgeous sunsets, lovely restaurant, lovely friendly staff. We were there for 5 days...we could have stayed forever!

United KingdomI think someone should collect the rubbish each day from the beach and rocks, not loads, would take 10 mins each day to sort it.
The beach was nice, all 3 restaurants were good, no wait times and the staff were excellent. The pool was also nice. The two restaurants along the beach and the Thai restaurant (beauty) out the front of the hotel were excellent value for money

NetherlandsThe only thing is that there doesn’t seem to be constant hot water. However, for us this wasn’t a problem, as it was so warm that we actually appreciated the cold water!
We had a beautiful and lovely stay at Sea Sense Resort. The premises are beautiful and everything is very clean. Beautiful private beach at a beautiful place at the sea (it’s super warm amazing water!). Super nice swimming pool. Everything that you need of a resort. A bit out of the way but everything you need to just chill, they have. We were very happy and impressed with the food, both the included breakfast but also the meals offered at the restaurants of the resort, of course more expensive than Vietnam average but still we think very good quality-price. The gym is a plus, so you can sport during your stay! We absolutely loved our stay and felt in paradise ☺️

PolandI booked a seaview villa, but all we got was a glimpse of the sea between the villas in the first line. The bathroom could use better cleaning. Trash on the beach
The location is nice - by the beach and surrounded by lovely, blooming nature. If you take a 10-15 min walk you get to shops, restaurants and bars. The room was nice and spacious. W liked the pool area, you can easily find free sunbeds by the pool and on the beach. Stuff speaks English. The breakfasts are ok with a lot of options to chose from.

United KingdomThere was nothing I didn’t like, the staff were super helpful and overall it was a fantastic few days.
Absolutely stunning hotel, room was huge with a balcony overlooking the sea. Beautiful beach and a pool. Breakfast was delicious with various options. This was a quieter area of Phu Quoc and it was perfect after spending time in HCMC. There are restaurants outside the hotel on the road, which are all pretty good. There is a hill to get out of the resort, but apparently there is another way to get there and avoid the hill through another hotel, but we didn’t try it. Grab (taxi) will take you to the night market which is worth a visit.

NorwayWe stayed for 10 days and absolutely loved it. Clean and big room, with a fantastic view. The tranquility and calmness of this place sorrounded by jungle is unreal - perfect if you want a relaxing getaway. Breakfast is great with a lot of variety, an extra thanks to the attentive staff. It is a short walking distance to good resturants with more affordable prices, we walked through the neighbour resort as mentioned in another review on booking.com. Beautiful beach and we also loved the pool area. The massage at the beach was amazing. Constructive: would be nice if the staff were more available at the beach/pool for ordering drinks. It would also be lovely with free supply of drinking water, but it is not far to shops. All in all a perfect stay. Would strongly recommend if you're looking for a place to unwind and relax. Thank you so much again from room 210!

United KingdomThis property is very well located for a quiet beach experience. The resort grounds are beautiful and kept very well. We stayed in a villa, and it was great because we were up in the trees, so we had visits from monkeys in the evenings. The room facilities are as described. The housekeeping is daily. For us, there was no requirement for a towel change daily; every 3 days would be better for the environment. There is also no free water refill to save plastic bottles. The beach is lovely and there are a lot of sunbeds. The pool is beautiful too. Breakfast was extensive and excellent quality. We ate lunch and evening meal just once, and both were average. Happy hour is good for drinks and they do a great Negroni! The gym was good enough for a good workout, not a water fountain should be installed for hydration! We really enjoyed our complimentary massage, perhaps the best I've ever had anywhere in the world! It was great to have the complimentary airport service, too. To walk to nearby restaurants, it's easier to go through Mango Resort next door. I don't recommend Treetop, but I highly recommend Chez Rico and Mai Jo's The snorkelling wasn't great when we were here because the sea was whipped up. Overall, it is a really good value and quality resort with good service. We would definitely stay again if in Phu Quoc.
