It was an unforgettable experience with Ambassadar cruise. We went for overmight cruise with family, everyone enjoyed a lot. The timings were punctual, and check in/out process was smooth. Halong Bay location was beautiful, and wonderful experience of Kayaking, and boats. Rooms with balcony are luxurious, clean with compfy bed. The food was delicious, and exceptional. Being Indian Vegetarian, they really setup the food as per my request. Dinner was awesome with nice outdoor seating, fire place, and live music. Thanks to chef Dhansingh. The Manager and staff are lovely, and took care of us in all aspects. Would definitely recommend.

Communication about the pick up & drop off from the hotel wasn’t made clear, therefore I was under the impression that it was included, only to found out at the last minute that it wasn’t. Had to make last plans to book a pick up and drop off service.

Ship is a bit dated. Room is a bit small for 3 of us, and the extra bed is a portable bed. Mattress is a bit too soft for me. Other than that, all is great!

I went through and compared with a lot of other cruises before finally choosing Ambassador Cruise. 1. One of the few cruises that lets you board from the dock directly. 2. Food (of course!) Chose the Western dinner with Lobster and Steak 3. Reasonable price compared to other cruise. (There are of cos some cheaper and some more expensive ones) 4. Private balcony. Its big enough (I do not like those where we can see the neighbours) 5. Size of the boat (not too big and not too small) 6. This ship accommodates 3 person to a room.

Failure to supply free drinking water other than 1 small bottle in each room. For a 5 star vessel paying that amount of money, this small expense would be wise as the need to pay for water left a very bitter memory!

Halong bay is gorgeous but it’s very touristy! Personally I don’t think it was worth the price we paid for!

It’s a gorgeous cruise with good facilities and staff really puts in a lot of effort to make you feel comfortable. Our room had a balcony and it was nice to sit and soak in the view. Staff had also made special arrangements for vegetarians even for the evening dinner. We were there for Christmas Eve and had a fabulous time!

Because we stayed only one night we couldn’t enjoyed the ship as much as we want because the daily activities are one after another and you need to rush a bit to get ready and hop on to the small boats. Which is very normal to organize over 50 people is not easy. I would recommend a 2 night tour to make it the most of this amazing cruise and meals also Ha Long Bay.

Thanks to the management and staff we had an unforgettable experience at Ha Long Bay. I have proposed to my partner on the longest night of the year on the cruise and the staff help me a lot to make it the best plan ever!! They upgraded our room and provide us a lot of extras. The room was one of the best rooms that we ever stayed. The dinner was excellent, it felt like a fine dining restaurant. We enjoyed it with an amazing life soft music and one of the most beautiful view. Thanks to them it was an easy “YES” for me :)

Some of the dishes could've tasted better for dinner but for the most part, everything was great on the trip.

Accidentally booked the Presidential Suite as it was the last room available and it exceeded my expectations. The room is massive and has a vintage feel, and the size of the balcony was equally impressive. Most of the food was great, staff were so hospitable and the service was amazing. It was one of the best experiences I had in Vietnam. I usually get seasick on cruises but the water is very calm in Halong Bay that it felt as though I was on land. The little trips to the caves, beach, and kayaking were fun. Too bad it was over so quickly after 1 night.

There were only a couple of negatives one of which was we waited a while for our drinks to be served on the upper deck and the beers in cans were not cold so we had to wait longer for them to be put in ice. The weather was so hot that a cold drink was a necessity. Also we knew the ship didn’t offer live entertainment on a Monday so we chose a Wednesday but there was no-one playing. We could hear entertainment on all the other surrounding boats. I did ask a staff member but they said the band had become unwell so could not perform. It would have been a good idea for the manager to announce this at the meeting we all had to attend when we boarded as it was confusing.

The food alone is with the entire cost of this trip. The evening meal in particular is 6 courses if choosing the western option and all of it was delicious. There are so many activities on offer too. The ship is immaculate and the staff have everything organised perfectly. Everyone was so friendly especially Camille in the restaurant who catered for our food allergies with the chef preparing separate dishes for us. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful ship, lovely kind staff and food was very good. We went for an overnight cruise and we will both never forget the beautiful Ha Long Bay scenery. Our room was luxurious and the bed was very comfortable. There is a lift on board for those of us who don't like stairs and lots of excursions (or you can opt to simply relax on board) It was a wonderful experience.

1. The dinner is quite dissappointing, the food is served cold. Think do buffet style better at least is hot. 2. Each stop at island could hv give guests more time. The time is quite short and rush.

Can’t order much snacks except for the set meals they offer.

Very well maintained cruise. The sundecks are huge, no one can go without a seat. The staff is very courteous. We were vegetarians and were very concerned about options. But we had enough, and menu was specially curated for us. The food was very tasty as well. The live music in the night was a lot of fun. The rooms are spacious enough for a cruise with a private balcony. Would definitely recommend.
